I absolutely loved this cane all you need to do is stand it up and it stands up all by itself. There is no reason anymore to find a place to set your cane down. All I have to do is stand it up right next to me and it's always there. The convenience of this fully collapsible cain is great also. All you need to do is slightly pull the pieces apart then place the strip around it and clip it. You can take it anywhere even put it in your bag and when you need to. All you do is unsnap it and toss a little bit and it automatically goes together. My elderly father actually stole it.
The rubber tip on my cane got badly worn, so I sent my son to Walmart to get me a new one. He brought me this one back, and I'm glad that he did. Now, if I need to put my cane to the side, I don't have to worry about it falling to the floor. It stands there waiting for me to retrieve it. I don't have to worry about bending down and hurting my back in trying to pick it up off of the floor. Purchasing this base for my cane was money well spent.
This is an excellent way to put a stabilizing bottom on existing cane without the wide 4-legged supports that can be a trip hazard. Loved it - bought an extra one for my mother. Also if you drop your cane an are not supposed to bend over - you can use a foot to bring the cane back to you.
I put your cane tip on my regular came that I purchased from Walmart and it works great. Stands by itself and gives more stability to cane when walking. Comparing the price to a regular cane with this adapter was way less expensive than purchasing a hurricane. also I did not care for a collapsible, or a folding cane.
Hi I wanna say thank u so much for an experience with this folding cane the best part of this folding cane is the moving of the can is so comfortable and it's such a cool jazzy look.. The idea of this is a great attraction and will bring in business.. This is my opinion
I have a regular metal cane with a single tip. Was getting tired of the cane shooting out from under me on certain types of floors or other slick surfaces. It was dangerous and scary. This 4 tip has proven much sturdier and safer. It has never slid out from where I sit it down. It is a simple inexpensive fix to a problem.
I am constantly dropping my cane, it just never seems to want to stick on to the edge of chair arms so this was a huge thing for me. The little piece fits easy at the bottom of almost any cane you can remove the original tip from. It not only let's the cane stand by itself if you let it go but it also feels more stable to me when using my cane. I highly recommend this tip and I in no way miss the clanging of my cane on the floor.
BE FOREWARNED!!! There is a warning saying not to use this product on SNOW, ICY, OR SLIPPERY surfaces! Also do not use with FOLDING CANES! I did not fine this out until I received it, and opened it (it had already been returned once, both sides were stapled closed!). It will also make your cane higher.
I just bought this item today at the walmart near where I'm staying on vacation. I was hoping it would help on the rain soaked slippery surfaces here. While I am not disputing anyone else's experience with this product, I am trying to help others avoid a mistake I made. When I got "home", I read the back of the package before opening it. I have not opened the package and plan to return to walmart for a refund tomorrow. I have a folding cane and based on the instructions/precautions I cannot safety use the product. The reviews are in direct opposition to the instructions and I based my purchase upon the reviews: my mistake. This is an exact quote on the package is… "WARNING: DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT ON SNOW, ICY OR SLIPPERY SURFACES. DO NOT USE THIS TIP WITH FOLDING CANE" This statement is directly below the instructions (picture 4 above). My question is why wasn't this piece of vital information not included with the other pictures? Had this been included with the other pictures, I would have made a better decision. Reviews can be helpful but your own research and study is still the best way to insure best results and safety.
It was too hard to put this on the cane...it wouldn't screw on (it has strips in it) or be pushed on so that it would stay...I bought two to use on different standard size canes for elderly folks, and neither one of them will have it now...I'm very disappointed as I really wanted the users to have the stability that this cane shaft "could have" provided.....I plan to return them as soon as this stay at home order is lifted...
