This stuff is great. It works even on 1/2 the daily recommended amount. If using with cold liquid add after liquid or it takes a long time to dissolve. If adding to hot you can put in before or after liquid such as coffee or tea. I make a quart of tea at a time and put the fiber power in the container then the warm tea so I don't have to add it by the cup. Great price and better than trying to get your fiber fill from cereal.
If you are looking for an easy and quick way to add fiber into your diet this product is it! It's sugar free, it dissolves quick, has no texture and it has little to no taste even when just having it with water. I've attached pictures of the before and after in just water.
This is a great product. Been using this brand for 5-8 years now. The price is affordable compare to other fiber products at GNC or Vitamins Shoppe. One little drawback if use more than 5-6 tablespoons per day, it can cause diahhrea or loose stool. Will keep using this product for many years to come.
Since I started using this product for over 2 months, I no longer have any constipation. I read that somebody complained that it didn't dissolve as well as Benefiber....well!!! I always use it with either lukewarm or warm water so I didn't have any problem at all. Try it, because this way, you'll save a lot more money buying this brand instead of Benefiber....unless you have plenty of money to waste, so why not ha ha. I can understand that because I used to buy only the brand names until I read Consumer Reports, and realized I've been so ignorant all those years!!!! After that, I would check Consumer Reports before buying anything :).
I make a pitcher of iced tea for my husband and I nearly every day. I pour a capful of this in and stir well. It dissolves immediately and no one would ever know it's there. It stays dry and powdered even in summer as long as i don't put wet spoons in it
I use one scoop oatmeal (uncooked), one tablespoon to two tablespoons of this, one scoop of chocolate whey protein powder, and skim milk (10 ounces). Blend. Now you have a thick foamy shake! If u skip the oatmeal, then use a scoop of this powder. Tastes like a milk shake, not a diet shake. I add cocoa to get that dark chocolate taste! Save a fortune on those unsatisfying bottles of protein shakes. And get rid of that unpleasant IBS feeling. Lots of water during the day so this doesn't backfire on you (hard stools).
I have tried many diet products to curb my appetite. They work for a day or so then I'm right back to over eating. I tried this and will be ordering another one before I run out. It makes me feel full before I've eaten half of my serving. I put it on everything I eat, including ice cream, yes ice cream and I have most of it left over because this fiber powder fills me up. You can even drink it in a glass of water (or tea) between meals and you won't be hungry.
The picture of the fiber jar is not the same as the item sent. The description is not the same either. The item description says it is wheat dextrim.(like the picture on the jar) On the item sent it states just dextrin, so I called the number on thejar and he said it was corn dextrim. It states it is campareable to Benefiber, but Benefiber is wheat dextrim I tried it anway but it gives me gas. the UPC is the same so Equate must have made some changes that w-m is not aware of.
I bought this hoping it would be as good as benefiber and it is definitely not. It may dissolve fine and be suitable if you tend to use it in a hot liquid, but most of the time I drink it in just plain cool water from the tap (faster). Benefiber dissolves fine when I do that, this clumps up and is a mess.
I did not received the correct size that I ordered for the Equate Fiber Powder Supplement. I received the smaller size 16.7 oz (90 serving)BUT was charged $9.34 which is the price for the larger one I actually ordered. I would like a refund for the difference...thank you!
