please bring these back. buting from another store just to get the applicator. the skinny wand tampons are horrible even equate brand. cardboard is bad for you. BRING THEM BACK PLEASE
If WalMart had an educated marketing team, they would bring these back in production since all other brands have went to the little child-like tampons. WONEN need these larger tampons back in stock. Who made the decision to discontinue? A man? A post menopausal woman? A teenager that only drips a tsp during her menstrual cycle?
These are the best Tampons. They are big for grown women who have serious periods. You can NEVER find them anymore!! Why? Why do they run out so fast? Why don't they stock more of these then any other tampons. They are always the 1st to go. You would think that Walmart would stock wayyyyy more. It's frustrating! Then I have to settle for some little pearl girlie girl Tampons made for teens. Please change this. I haven't been able to buy any except maybe 1 time this year! That's crazy.
I don't HATE these.. they're alright. I like them more than the compact tampons that never seem to get me past an hour since they don't hold much even though they're supposed to be super plus absorbency (not ideal for someone like me who only ever needs super plus during their time of the month). I purchased these only because the U by Kotex ones were not in stock. I then found out that the Kotex ones are being discontinued because they're only going to be selling their new compact version. I'm so sad about this and it sounds like many others are as well. So to all of you in the reviews here saying you're going back to U by Kotex after trying these - I regret to inform you of the discontinuation information :(
I just found out they discontinued the Security tampons from Kotex. I bought these as the only other option. They do not compare in the least. I could change a Security tampon every 4 hours and be good. With these Equate ones it is every hour. They leak and do not absorb all the way through the material. I do like the serrated edge of the package which makes opening easier. That is about the only thing that it has going for it. The tampon needs to be larger, more absorbent and have a knot in the end of the string to aid and removal. Please redesign your product, taking into consideration all the reviews you have received. This is the only way you will win over the Kotex fans. Otherwise, we will continue our search for a far superior product.
Normally I enjoy Equate tampons for day use, but this time I picked 'Super Plus' and didn't realize they had cardboard applicators. Although I do appreciate the price I find them very uncomfortable to insert. One I had to throw out because once inserted I couldn't push it down to insert it the rest of the way. Use the plastic applicators for light days. Not sure if I'd trust this brand in public or at night. P.S. most plumbers will tell you to never flush anything in the toilet but normal waste and toilet paper. I wouldn't recommend you flushing these.
These don't compare to U by Kotex Super Plus! I've used those for YEARS and loved them! I have 3 left that I've been holding onto for months so I took a side by side and they aren't even the same size! Equate is longer and thinner and doesn't have a knot! I guess my search will continue :(
Clearly this is the supposed replacement for U by Kotex Security tampons. I got the “Super Plus” as I normally would, it was shorter and thinner than the Kotex Security tampons. This isn't even close to the same size or true size as the “Super Plus” Kotex Security! I recommend you make a “Jumbo” if this is the largest size you have! Quite disappointed! (I made sure to attach photos for size reference, and if I can see the difference, Walmart…I KNOW you can! This was a fail. Jumbo please, then I might consider changing the review. But this was FALSE INFORMATION PROVIDED TO THE CONSUMER.
Do NOT waste your money. These are not “comparable to U by Kotex Security”. The braided cord is a joke for removal and it is not very absorbent. Typically I prefer the generic brands and have historically liked these tampons. I will not be purchasing these again.
