Wal mart and Equate have made the difference in my shopping habits. I used to always reach for the brand name thinking it was better. Not so. Equate is just as good.
This is a Great Vision Supplement. My eye doctor said I had cataracts that was just beginning. I started taking Equate Vision, went back in a year & the doctor said he could not believe that they had not gotten worse. He said he had never seen this happen before. I believe I owe it all to this supplement.
We have used the product for years. Only trouble is, we are frequently told it is not in stock. The retail store employees tell us the computer orders the quantity they can keep on hand. Well, since we take it and usually buy it form one store in Utah, and my parents buy it from two stores in Colorado and they are all habitually out of the product, SOMEONE needs to tell the computer to allow the stores to get more of this on hand
These work just as good as the pricier name brand Ocuvite and you get more for your money. Since macular degeneration runs in my family. I take these regularly.
I trust, as much as possible, the Equate brand of an item when it is comparable to one that is four or five times as expensive. Money only goes so far even with over the counter meds and this is one recommended by my eyey doctor.
I have not experienced any dramatic improvements or remarkable benefits from taking this vitamin. Perhaps its one of those "mind over matter" things where if you don't mind, it does not really matter.
I'm taking these in the hope it will ward off the macular degeneration that my mom was showing signs of when she passed away. I also had an uncle (her brother) that went totally blind from it.
I've been using this product for several years. This last bottle I bought was a nightmare to open! I tried. My daughter. My son-in-law. It was like super glued on! Rubber grips didn't budge it. I literally had to take scissors and run along the lid and pry to get them open. Seriously!!!! Don't make them so hard to open!!!!
This product is well priced and popular - to the point that our local Walmart can't keep it in stock. Ordering it on-line in-quantity to save shipping is the smart move. We wish they would package it with higher Lutein content, however.
