Bought these to up my vitamin c intakes. Especially during this time of covid and flu. Also bought the emergency-c one as well to compare as to which one works better or taste better. In this case the equate one is so much better! It taste so much better than the emergency one. To my surprise very shocking! And it is not as bitter as the emergency one. The emergency one makes taking it a pain as it's so bitter compare to this one. I actually enjoy taking these than the emergency one. I recommend this one!! Also for the price it's $2 less than the other one and it's taste better! I haven't took it for long to compare the effects yet. But I'll save my other review for that later since I can't go back and update my review on here.
I compared this brand with the original Emergen-C and the ingredients are the exact same. However, the taste is awful. One of my packets were rock hard, so I opened it and it looks like someone poured water into it and then sealed it back up. Yes this brand is cheaper, but I'll go back to Emergen-C.
This is not the brand I wanted it was out of stock so I tried this one. I did not like it the taste was bad not what I was use to. Will not buy again.
Taste is nothing like Emergan-C, does not mix well, granules are always left in the bottom of the glass. Adequate for getting the vitamins but only purchased because Emergan-C was out of stock.
As others have said, it tastes better than the name brand. However, I have a problem with mine not fully dissolving in the water and leaving a grit behind in the cup. I'm not sure if this is sugar (looks like sugar crystals at the bottom of a cereal bowl) or what, but I try to consume it since I don't know if its beneficial or just filler. The inconvenience vs the small price difference of the name brand means I won't purchase this kind again.
I used to like this brand but I noticed it was changed recently and doesn't dissolve well which makes me think I'm missing out on the Vitamin C I'm taking it for. I'm left with sandy grainy chalky granules in my cup after mixing it. I'll pay the extra and buy name brand. This isn't worth it. The quality is sub-par.
Terrible! Product totally changed from a year or so ago. Was a 4 product. Not now. New packaging looks great but no longer an “equivalent” to Emergen C. Used to be a very good product but now I'm not sure who's doing the manufacturing! Flavor completely different (nasty like sweet weak orange Koolaid) no effervescence, not palatable and not even real orange color as before. Writing this review because returning the product will not fix the problem. It will just get thrown into a damaged goods bin and the problem ignored instead of going to quality control and product assessment. Can't believe they're passing this off as the same product. I'm sure I'll get the same “because of COVID…..” Similar issues recently with other products as well. Stay away from this one or you'll be disappointed too!! (Link to “review terms and guidelines “ not working online mobile app and could not read. Had to agree to them in order to submit complaint. Did so for concern that there is a problem with a product consumed by the public. Current drink not even close to previous product. V)
They did not have the EmergenC I normally purchase so I tried this brand. HORRIBLE. Packets were sticky and gross, product did not dissolve completely and tasted TERRIBLE. Bitter and chalky. No answer at 800 number to be refunded. I will never purchase this again.
I bought Equate C packets because they were better priced than Emergen-C. WHAT A BAD DECISION! *The packet cannot be torn open; must use scissors. (Bad for my travels) *The taste is awful. Weak orange flavor that is also bitter. *Doesn't dissolve completely. Even after stirring and waiting there was about 3/16 tsp (for those who can't do the math-just less than 1/4) of white powder in the bottom of the glass that never dissolved. The photo is from the bottom of the Walmart tumbler that I mixed the packet in, drank it, and refilled with a light pink drink. The white stuff at the bottom is the stuff that never dissolved. What the heck is that and why would I want undissolvable junk in my stomach? Cr@ppy quality, Walmart. Thanks.
Normally most of times that Equate and Great Value (Walmart's own brands) have pretty good quality of products, but not for this one. Bought it in the midst of the pandemic while our usual product emergen C was out of stock everywhere. This generic version of the emergen C, first of all, the package is much harder to open; second, about 20~30% of the powders just won't dissolve; third, the taste is much worse than any emergen C flavor I've tried. Won't repurchase it again, do not recommend, needs serious improvements.
