This unit replaces the trusty Escort 8500 I kept in my pick-up truck and all I can say is it is a MUCH better detector with FAR FEWER false alarms. In fact, it stays nearly as quiet and false alarm free as the Escort 9500ix I keep in my Corvette. Buy this radar detector. It is an amazing value!!
The product is extremely easy to use and I have no complaints except for this x70 does not have built-in Bluetooth Escort Live
this is my first escort radar detector and im pleased with it so far ka band has verygood range i would recommend
I've had a few different radars, and have now had the x70 for approximately 3 months. So far the x70 has performed the best in comparison to any Cobra radar, as well as the Passport 9500ix and also the Solo s3 units available. I drive 30k-40k miles per year and often travel across various states on the east coast to the Midwest. The x70 has great range, even around most bends, and as I stated before, very few false alerts. Content with the x70 for now, but eager to try others and see how they compare.
I emailed back and forth to customer support about the false alarms at traffic flow cameras. I was finally told that my brand new, not even a week old detector, had to be sent in and recalibrated. I have yet to send it in. just annoying to find out that something doesn't do what it says it can do.
Basically a shelled out version of the Escort Max and Escort Max 360 and the range on thoses are nearly the same as Escort X70. There are cheaper radar detectors with better range then these detectors. Want a good range radar detector? Purchase Escort Redline.
Have 2 Passport X50s and this is a terrible replacement for that model. I turned it on, went to mount it and the display went off. Jiggled it a bit and display went back on. Mounted it, display went off again. Display never came back on. Tried power off/power on, etc. Nothing worked. Still made plenty of sounds. Entered preferences mode just fine, although i could not see the preferences screen. Total junk.
it's basically no bluetooth if you need to spend more money to buy a special cable
I'd keep looking this device is unreliable
