It does the job. I did have an issue with one of the clasps, however. The pin wants to inch its way out, rendering it inoperable. But it can be put back in fairly easily.
Does the job for a starter file cabinet. As others said, the cover/lid does not stay up w/o holding it so can be a little annoying and does feel like you will break it when pushing up. Otherwise great size and easy carry handle.
I purchased two of these hard plastic file boxes to file important papers. One for my husband and one for myself. The file boxes will eliminate stacks of papers on our tables and on my desk and make it easier to locate copies when needed. Less stress.
this is as I wanted, small & easy to use, easy to get to, easy to transport The only difficulty I had is with opening the top all the way. For some reason it gets stuck somehow when you almost get it open. The company that produces it needs to work on that. It makes you feel like it is going to break or that it might just not open all the way which would be a pain because how would you file anything that way ? But its wonderfully priced which made it a big plus for me on limited income.
just as advertised, except the measurements don't tell you that's the size of the lid. The bottom is much smaller. I had one that size, so not any improvement for space. Should be corrected!!

Received in mail and was bigger than i thought, but that was okay. Only had it a day and already an piece in the back has broken and the side is coming apart. Seems flimsy and cheaply made. Get what you paid for. Won't return it - by returning, it i won't be getting much back. Would not buy again...
The lid on this thing doesn't stay open. If you try to push it far enough back to be "all the way open" it feels like it will break, and it closes on itself. For very occasional use it won't be the end of the world, but it's definitely annoying and there's no good reason why they couldn't have designed it better. Because I didn't see any other options around this price point, I'll give it 3 stars - still a good value if you just need something to hold some files. But for frequent usage or if you get frustrated by less-than-good products, go find a nicer one with good reviews (and pay 2-3x as much).
I had a hard time lifting the lid. The lid had to be held open or it would come down on your hand as you reached into th box. One of the latches was broken.
For $15 its it's not worth the money, when I first opened it the lid would Not stay opened. I have to push the plastic in the back in so the darn thing will stay opened.
