I needed a camera for a detached garage that is near 150 feet from the home base and wifi router. I'm not new to the Eufy brand having door bells and floodlights so I knew the human detection would be great and the 2k resolution would be great as well. What I was surprised about is how good the connection is that far away. The old blink out door camera I had in there just would not connect to the network, but this camera is full bars to 3 out of 4 bars. I picked this one because it's compact size and had the solar panel bundled with it. Love the built in alarm, and built in spot lights. They light up the 12x24 garage it's in perfectly.
Eufy cameras are the best, no monthly fees.
The Eufy cameras are super easy to set up and install. The settings are very customizable so you can get as many or as few notifications as you want. My house is set close to the road and the “people detection” feature is great at not alarming over a passing car. Although it does occasionally alarm when a pedestrian is walking by. My house is about 10 feet from the sidewalk though so I think that would happen with any security system and I can snooze the camera notifications if they’re becoming bothersome. The home security system is also great. The window/door sensors are easy to set up and do the job they’re intended for. I just ordered more cameras and a doorbell and have full confidence they’ll work great too. Also the app is user friendly and can be used with a screen reader for the blind or visually impaired! My wife is blind and loves being able to talk to people through the cameras using the app on her phone.

Resolution is good, you can zoom in on video in the app. Was easy to mount and get charged / connected to my home base. The only real downside that I see with this one is that it's SO expensive! One camera on sale was $100. I mean it's worth it but when I bought the 3 pack with home base, I think it was just over 200 .. so.
I love the fact that it comes with a local storage unit. Although cloud storage can be purchased additionally, it is not required. These cameras pack quite a few options in the app and are very easy to install. The fact that connecting another Eufy camera is a snap as well. The battery holds up extremely well but of course, that will depend on the amount of activity it detects. So far, these things have seen scorching heat and hurricane level winds, storms and torrential rain. I haven't had to worry about them at all. Also, the night vision and the built in spotlight are excellent options to have within the unit. Excellent investment.
I have two of these as well as the doorbell cam and I love that they all work with the same base unit. The picture is great and I am happy I purchased these. I also found a 3D template for a base that allows me to mount the cameras to a gutter downspout so I don't have to drill into the brick or siding!

It uses Passive Infrared Sensors to detect motion and will not work behind glass. There is no option to have it use only video feed to get motion notifications and so I either have to replace them or figure out how to put them outside on an apartment.
Not as sensitive or accurate as our previous Nest set up. Worst of all quit detecting motion, particularly at night after only 15 months. Tried support, reset camera, reset HomeBase, reset wifi router, nothing seems to help. Perhaps Eufy needs to put out a firmware update, from what I'm seeing on the web, I'm not the only one with this issue.
