I've been using the Evenflo Balance & Wide bottles/Nipples since my baby was 4 weeks old and think they are the best! My baby is 4 months old and I switched to tbe medium flow at 3 months. She's always been a very slow bottle drinker and my Lactation consultant thought she should be on the medium flow from the beginning but I waited. All of a sudden she started to get irritated while drinking. I could tell this by her bending this nipples in half and then just giving up on the bottle half way because it was taking forever. SO glad we made the switch. Within a day of her getting the hang of the new flow she was so much happier and was drinking full bottles again.
My baby had some really bad oral ties and these bottles made such a difference even before his surgery. He has since had them all cut and we are still using these bottles, he's doing so well. I used to use Dr. Brown's. They were much better with my first son but after using Evenflo and now having to wash all the part I don't know have I ever did that. Could never go back now!
Perfect for my 3 month old! We tried 4 different bottles before we finally discovered evenflo! The shape of the nipple gives my baby the perfect latch
We have had to use these wide-neck nipples for our sweet baby has she had such a posterior tongue tie that her tongue was never able to reach the roof of her mouth causing a very high and narrow palate making feedings extremely challenging. These nipples saved us and allowed her to eat comfortably. She graduated from slow flow and needed medium flow nipples that were unavailable everywhere to include their website. She was struggling immensely to eat from the slow flow as it was causing her to work hard after her tie reversal. Because the product I needed was unavailable, I emailed the company who promptly responded and ensured I was added to a list to be emailed when the product became available. Within a few short days, I received an email that the product became available and placed a few orders. My product arrived quickly and has once again saved us. My girlie is now able to eat without too much effort, without taking in excessive air and is finally starting to gain weight. I can't say enough about this product. I recommend these wide-neck nipples for struggling feeders, nursing mamas or those with ties!!!!
So my rating for this nipple is actually 5 stars. They are great! My son loved these bottles, we tried easily 5-10 different kinds. He never had nipple confusion. They're great! However, trying to find medium or fast flow in the wide neck was impossible at times. Not sure how normal or abnormal that is, but it was difficult to only be allowed to buy I think it was 2 nipples. That was a whole lot of bottle cleaning. Once they were back in stock, it was fine, but again, not sure how common or uncommon it is for these to go out of stock for weeks at a time.
My baby loves these bottle nipple but the flow is way faster than a medium flow he was choking on breastmilk while drinking. Had to go back to slow flow so he wouldn't choke. I wish they would have more slow flow nipples cause we are down 2 slow flow nipples and we need more asap but they are never in stock and I can't find the bottles in a store or replacement nipples in the store. Took longer to get the package than expected
Leaks. Everywhere. These leak from all around the rim of the bottle cap, constantly getting my son wet with formula drips. No idea why it's just the medium flow but my slow flow never had this issue.
Received the wrong item!!
These nipples constantly collapse no matter what we did to fix the vent or the tightness of the collar. My daughter would get so frustrated and wouldn't drink as much milk. We suffered for months with this issue until we finally gave up and got new bottles and my daughter is drinking so much more easily with the same flow rate.
When purchased, the description stated it would fit the wide balance bottles. They were too small. A more accurate description is needed before purchasing.
