Great Seat - Low price

I purchased a car seat for both of our cars for our 1 yo. This particular seat and another one that cost more. I expected the one that cost more to be the better of the two, but I was wrong. My son fits better in this seat and it was much easier to install - had I known this, I would have purchased 2 of these instead. I would recommend this seat to anyone who doesn't want to spend a ton of money on one.

Great For Big Babies And Limited Space!

I had purchased another carseat prior to this one, and it was horrible! The second time around I knew what to look for: slimmer design to fit in my Jeep Liberty, just enough padding, and easy access to adjust the safety straps. My 21 pound 6 month old falls asleep easily in this carseat and has enough room to grow. It's also slim enough that when installed in the middle of the backseat, I can lay down the front seat to change him on the go if I need to. The only thing it needs is a mesh holder on the bottom to hold my little one's car toys (this was the ONLY thing I liked about the other carseat!), but compared to safety and comfort, this is really insignificant. Great carseat at a great price!

Good Carseat

We had a slightly older version of this carseat, and needed a second one for our other car, so we bought this new one 8+ months ago because we knew we liked the brand and style of this model. It is great for both rear-facing infant and front-facing older baby (after 12+ months). It is sturdy, easy to set up and install in the vehicle, and the fabrics seem quite durable. Overall it is comfortable, but we do notice that on very long car rides (more than 1 hr) we wish there was a tad more padding under the fabric. The headrest/pillow is a bit silly how it attaches, because it sways and doesn't stay in place, and our daughter moves it and plays with it now that she is older. I don't like the clasp that is used to make the two arm straps meet in the middle. The older version of this carseat had a sturdier plastic and the one strap slipped in to the hook to meet in the middle. The newer version (this version) of the carseat has a clasp that seems like it may break. We've had the carseat more than 7-8 months and the clasp hasn't broken, but it just doesn't FEEL durable or sturdy. We thought the cupholder is a silly "add-on" so we never used it or tried to see if it would work. The plastic on it looks flimsy and I wouldn't trust a drink in it for a toddler, but again, I can't say it actually has problems, because we never tried it. Okay, so back to the carseat as a whole, it is very nice, and quite affordable. It is great for how long it can be used (thru several stages of baby ages). Probably my final comment is that for a taller baby, I do sometimes wonder if they might outgrow the top setting for the shoulder straps before they outgrow the weight limit. Our 25 lb 18 mo old looks like she barely fits the top shoulder setting, and I don't know how many more months before she gets too tall. Maybe another parent of a toddler could comment on that issue. Anyhow, we do feel this was worth the money and was a great overall purchase. We have already been able to use this much longer than we used an "infant carrier" style carseat.

Great carseat...only problem is the cup holder will not fit unless you remove part of the cover on one side. Lots of cushion and my son loves it.

Awesome Seat, Would Buy Again

As a first time mom, like everything else i bought for my son, i spent HOURS researching for the best gear. not best, as in most expensive or trendy (because frankly, we don't have the money for luxuries that are going to be thrown up on and outgrown in a couple of years), but safe and well-reviewed... the best choice for our money. I planned on "wearing" our son, meaning that i would not be carrying him around in an infant car seat all the time, so we decided to save even more money and just skip that. After a long debate with myself i decided to go with this car seat. i had more money to spend than this, but i trusted the reviews and decided to pinch my pennies, since it was side impact tested, and had a little bum support for smaller babies, and those were my only reservations. well, boy am i glad i chose this seat!! my little guy fit well in it from the beginning, though i have to say some people would say 8 lbs 3 oz isn't very little.... it is sooo easy to adjust the straps, which is great because we live in a cold climate and always have to adjust for more or less layers depending on the day. it's also quite comfy feeling. some of the other cheap carseats--including a lot of the infant carseats-- feel like there is just fabric on top of plastic. i know i wouldn't be comfortable in that, so i didn't bother getting one of those for my baby. i thought the lack of padding on the straps would be an issue, so i bought some that i could attach, but i never needed to use them. we don't use latch because i'm paranoid and if i were to stall on a railroad track, i'd trust myself to more quickly undo a seatbelt and remove the whole carseat than take off the harness or latch system. call me crazy, but like i said- first time mom. anyway, it's easy to install with the belt, and feels nice and sturdy using that instead of the latch, which just looks confusing. Another reason why i decided on this carseat was the size. if you were to go into BRU and look at the line-up of convertible car seats, this and one other evenflo (the name escapes me) are the smallest. we have a subaru wrx hatchback and anything bigger would have simply not worked. with that said, we would not be able to fit this rear facing on either side seat. it has to go in the middle. once he's forward facing, it'll fit great anywhere. The compact size also makes it lightweight and i've taken it out with him in it during a couple of snow storms when he was sleeping. i'm a 5'8 woman, but out of shape and it wasn't too difficult at all. moving on... we are planning to rear face my son as long as possible, until he reaches the maximum height or weight because rear facing is safest for children, no matter what size they are. So for this, I wish that the weight limit was a little higher, but i guess for the compact size, it's pretty good. we'll have to get another seat once he's forward facing with a higher harness weight limit, and possible one that converts into a booster (up to 100 lbs) but we're going to get a good run for our money on this one. i'll definitely be getting another for our next baby.

This seat is so great and I regret no buying it sooner! I did a ton of research on carseats and ended up buying 3 of these, one for my car and two for grandparents. It's very nice, cushy and affordable. The only thing I don't care for is the chest clip being so bulky. On my other carseat, the clip was a little smaller so it was easier snap. I love the fact that the seat can be rear or forward facing. It comes with a drink holder, head pillow and body pillow. Great value for price paid. That is so hard to find under $75!

I bought this for my grandson, he is 7 months old and 20 pounds. It worked out great. It can lean back for when he is sleeping and not fall out. It is also roomy enough that he still has room to grow into it.. It also was a good price...

I bought this product at the same time I was buying an infant car seat. So I had to spend a smaller amount as this was the back-up car seat for my husband's car. For the money, this was a good buy. However, you do need to buy an additional head support if you want to use this for an infant. Otherwise there's just too much room and not enough support for a small baby.
