I been shopping around for a set of booster cables. These sets are fantastic value and quality is second to none. They are Great. I like the newer designs of top and side post terminal clamps and they work great. The clamps are snug tight and the wires are thick enough for 250 amps or more. It will jumper start any large vehicles without any problems. The wires are well insulated and labels do glow in the dark. Excellent buy! Walmart is Awesome! I didn't realize they have such good quality at an affordable price points. I will be doing little shopping here from now on. Star Master Tech
I see other sites list AMP rating on cables. On 6 gauge I've seen from 250 to 500 AMPs. No data here or on store packaging or inside package zipper; no excuse for that! There are other 16' 6 gauge competing products on other sites at $29.99 that list 500 AMPs. Also if you can wait, buy online with the free ship to store for pickup because the 2 local stores were selling this for $29.97 (not the $26.97 shown here on the web price). One store showed as In Stock here but had none! Second store showed as Limited Stock & actually had 2 (after wasting time & gas going to the further store first). Cables appear good to the naked eye, and clamps seem very sturdy.
The booster cables displayed gloves and safety glasses that will be included . When I received my item in the mail the only item that was in the bag was booster cables. I did not received safety glasses and gloves.
I had purchased these jumper cables in an emergency. The closest Walmart was 8 miles from where our car broke down and as soon as my husband went to attach the positive cable, the handle/clamp fell right off the cable. Not convenient in an emergency! It's possible that it could have just been that cable, but it could be a cheaply made brand. The only positives it that it was a perfect length and came with a convenient storage case.
