I (the Wifey) think it smells like a lumberjack's breakfast... woodsy with a hint of maple! My Hubby says it tames his beard and he likes the way it smells, too.

I love putting this in my man's beard!! He's African American and it makes his curls soft and smooth. Looks so healthy and supple. It smells so good too!! I massage it in to his beard and coat the curls. He loves me doing it almost as much as he loves the results!! Lol

The lid is split open and damaged. You would think someone noticed while packing and replaced with a good one, but no it definitely noticeably broken. The product itself is very nice smelling and works great for my bearded bad boy-lol
I am the wife of the man who needs beard care. I got this for my husband bc of the reviwes. I DO like how thick the cream is and how it went on the beard easily. I DO NOT like the intensity of the fragrance. It is extremely strong. I am sensitive to smells. I can smell this while sitting on the other side of the couch from my husband when only a pea size amount was used. I put it on him the first time, and the smell lingered on my hands for many hours even after washing with soap and water many, many times. I wish there were an unscented version (if there is, I couldn't find it). Is the smell (sandalwood) bad? No. It's just very strong and leaves me with a headache. He has lost a portion of his sense of smell, so it didn't bother him.
It was too small. Thought it would be bigger for that price. Found a different beard holder for a cheaper price and bigger.
