Heard nightmares from others about adding an additional internal video card (or replacing the existing one with a dual-monitor card) in my particular 1 year old Dell desktop so thought I'd try this USB answer to adding an additional monitor. This is wonderful! It is completely straightforward and simple to install. The hardest part was trying to get under the desk to plug the USB cable into the back of my computer:-) Drivers loaded perfectly, updated automatically, and Vista found the device immed. once plugged in. I can now drag one window over to the second monitor, and view another on the first. Great for looking at a report on one screen and entering the info. into a spreadsheet on the other screen without having to split screens or toggle between windows. My eyesight isn't what it used to be, so splitting windows with larger font leaves very little info. on the screen - constant scrolling. If you have an old monitor lying around, and since this works with older behemoths or newer flat panels w/ either VGA or DVI, putting it back into service and increasing your productivity, shopping comparisons, auctioning, viewing, etc. makes alot of sense. I think this item is a bit pricey here but I chose WalMart for the convenience of store return if necessary instead of shipping. Received in 3 days from WalMart.com home delivery for $0.97. Wish I had found this years ago.
