Even though this says Huffy, the actual product was from Spalding. Box was very beat-up when it arrived. Nothing was damaged - however the instructions were missing. It was after hours so couldn't call support line. Tried going to Spalding site - no luck. Finally found instructions using Google. Takes a few days to install Day 1 - dig hole (2 ft deep, 18 inch diameter), install ground sleeve, pour concrete (4 80 pound bags). Wait a few days for concrete to set. Day 4 - assemble pole and attach backboard. instructions I downloaded had steps for several different backboards, a little hard to tell which was mine. assembled loosely, had to make some adjustments. 3 section pole is very solid but instructions say you must pour concrete down pole. That was a chore. Wait a day for concrete to set in pole. Day 5 - lift pole - HEAVY (two man job) put in ground sleeve. Done. Kids immediatley want to dunk. Overall seems very solid. Only downside is that pole wants to turn slightly in ground sleeve - I attached sandpaper tape per instructions to pole. I may need to tighten cap to ground sleeve.
I used "Site to Store" service. They shipped the product out in a box that had been busted apart and then taped back together. The box was missing about five different parts. I think it is probably a good pole system, but I wont be able to try it for the 7-10 days that I'll be waiting for the parts to come in. The manufacturer was very easy to work with. Be prepared for at least a two day installation, You will be filling a hole for the ground sleeve with concrete as well as the pole itself. Looks like a decent product, just a bad shipping ecperience.
