I've had my knife for a couple of years now and only had to sharpen it once. It's a great knife, as far as I'm concerned! I don't use it for bread or cakes or anything else except cutting up vegetables and fruit--exactly what it was designed to do. I have other knives that are better suited for other purposes, but for everyday use in cooking, this knife is my favorite. It sits comfortably in the hand, the blade is smooth and sharp, the weight is perfectly balanced. I don't need another knife right now, but I will probably buy one of these for my sister for Christmas or something.
When I bought this knife I didn't expect it to last forever but I was shocked when within less than two months it was visibly dull! It struggled to cut something as soft as bread cleanly. I would not recommend this knife to anyone who expects or wants long term use.
