This knife set is a great buy. Just what I needed for my countertop.
Bought this set of knives for my grandson for his college apartment. Just the right number of knives for the purpose and good value for the quality. Not for the real chef but works for the part time kitchen chef. I liked the fact that they had handles you could not hurt if put in the dishwasher. The holder was a plus, keeps them in a safe place and you know where they are when you need them.
This is a cute sleek set that doesn't take up much room. The knives work; however, they were not that sharp. I expected brand new knives to be sharp. The chef's knife was a lot duller than I expected. The santoku and bread knives were the sharpest and work great. For the price, it's a decent product. If you're an avid cooker and use knives for prep often, this is not the set you want to purchase.
