I was very surprised to get as nice a TV as this for the price. The picture is quite nice and the sound also. The TV was very easy to install and we had it on and running in just a few minutes. I couldn't be happier. At first I couldn't get the remote to function properly but soon discovered the batteries included were old. If you're looking for a 40 inch TV you won't go wrong with this one!
The picture quality is great for tv, movies, streaming, and gaming. The sound isn't the best when using the tv's speakers alone. As you might expect, the sound is a little flat and doesn't have the depth of higher quality speaker systems. However, it is easy to setup a theater system to this unit and makes the sound much much better. A lot of connectivity options, which is nice.
The favorite canal facture hangs up and starts adding the same canal. canal scan is very slow aside from this the TV is fibulas' I gust purchased a second one
I had never even heard of Element brand televisions before but I ordered one anyway. I've only had it a couple of weeks but the picture quality is great and the sound quality is ok. So far I'M very happy with this television and would recommend it to my friends.
Received this TV a week ago and very pleased with the picture. Great price for a 40 inch. We will see if I need that 2 year warranty, but wishing I had purchased the 3 year just to be safe.
Some minor quirks such as remote buttons on some functions don't match what tv does. Volume and channel up/down reversed. Volume is very loud on first bar of strength meter. Not worth the hassel of getting this things looked at, but annoying. And,the "power on" LED is very light. Other than that, the tv is perfect. The site to store is slow as I have ever seen. It took 11 days to get this from Bentonville, AR to Central Arkansas!
Great price, easy transaction. Hooked up easy. Mounted on wall in dining room with a 35" HDMI running through the wall. Sounds quality is average but the picture had a few pixels messed up. but wat do you expect from a cheap off brand refurbished TV. That's exactly why I bought the 3 years plane with it. At some point I will be returning it. Just being lazy and don't feel like taking it down at the moment.
I got the tv in and noticed that there are a couple of dead pixels in the screen. one spot about the size of an ink pen dot is in the center of the screen also another to the left a little bit. Im not sure what is refurbished about this item, it seems that someone bought it new and sent it back then they just resold it as refurbished without making repairs. The screen is a bit choppy I asume this is due to the 8 millisecond response time. The item discription says it has 600:1 contrast ratio, this is not true it clearly says in the manual that is 5000:1. the tv has many ports for hooking up different devices which is awesome. overall I plan on keeping the tv on the basis that for $280 you get what you pay for and it will suit my needs until I get around to upgrading. I would recommend it to someone looking for a deal but if your looking for good quality shop around!!!!
I bought this at walmart.com and I was excited to get such a big tv for the price, I got it home, plugged it in and NOTHING, It doesnt even turn on, Called Element and they told me it might be the power cord so I went and bought a new one and still didnt work, so I returned it and paid a little more to buy a new tv. I also read other reviews online and this happens to alot of customers. so beware.
I think they forgot to refurbish the unit I received. The corner of the plastic 'frame' was busted, the screen wasn't attached to the plastic 'frame', there was a dead pixel in the middle of the screen and the sound faded in and out. Sounds a lot like shipping damage, but there was no damage to the box or the packing material.
