I purchased this filter a few days ago. Before installing this filter, my husband was sneezing very often everyday. We were so amazed the first day, he did not sneeze at all; everyday since, it has been the same. I know a person would have a hard time believing it could work so well and so fast, but it is absolutely true. Thank you for making such a wonderfully made product.

This filter seems to prevent air flow. The house doesn't cool properly, but when I remove the filter it does as well as when I use a different filter.
Extremely poor design by 3M. I've always used 3M filters and never had a problem. They've removed the metal and the fiberglass strand does not support the amount of air flow. My filter has been in for one week and is already collapsing in the middle. 3M go back to your original design or you'll be losing lots of customers. No way this flimsy filter will last 3 months. I always change mine every month whether its dirty or not. Ill be switching to another brand. Sad because I always considered 3M a good product.
Bought this product today and was worried after I saw the reviews that it was made very cheaply, after reading the reviews, I decided I better check it in the filter and found it was bowed terribly, excited to place my old filter back in the unit, who would think you would have to go look at reviews for a product name like 3M, after my experience with your product, I will never buy a 3M product ever, not even your tape, if this is an example of your designs and quality control, shame on you 3M
Purchased this Filtrete product 3 mos. ago assuming it was similar to what was already installed when we moved in. Right away it appeared inferior but surely 3M wouldn't make a bad product, I was wrong. Filter was installed following the air flow arrow even though I questioned this orientation based on filter flexibility. The filter was inspected every month up to the 90days. This was when I discovered it had blown out in the middle.
Filter is not durable. It crumpled up inside the A/C unit. CHEAP! Not what I would expect from 3M.
I've always used this filter and been very pleased with it, until this last filter the reinforcement was changed from a metal weave to what looks to be plastic webbing. I change filters every 2 month and when I changed it today it was stretched in. I was almost like the plastic webbing wasn't strong enough to support it. I don't like the new ones at all.
The new design is AWEFUL! Look at the photos here. The filter was perfectly formed when installed. As soon as the AC turned on, the filter frame just started to collapse and bend. When I felt these things I just knew it was going to be trouble so I am happy I monitored it. I put the old filter in and immediately made this review to warn others. I just purchase my year supply (18) of these filters for my 3 AC Units and now I have to return them as they are JUNK!
We purchased these filters thinking they were the usual well made product; however, after 1 month of use the filter had basically collapsed. Advertised as being good for 3 months, we could not have been more disappointed. Definitely not worth buying!
