We used this on my toddler and husband for a Halloween costume and it was PERFECT. The blue stick went on both their hair(s) easily and showed up (even on my husband's dark brown hair), and washed out just as easily!!! I was hesitant to buy a hair-dye spray can because I didn't want my toddler to breath it in, so this was the perfect alternative (he could even put it in his dad's hair it was so easy!!). I would say one stick probably covers one adult head entirely -- we were just highlighting the front and then some in the back on both of them, so one stick was plenty for our purposes.
Using the Hair Color Stix was fast and easy.....no mess. Also bought this for a friend's daughter. Love it!

No hairspray odor with color chalks, application practical
She loves the shapes and colors. Easy to apply. Not as vibrant as I would've liked but my daughter is pleased with the overall look!
These hair stix were easy to use and came out of my hair SUPER EASY(when i washed it)... i did not even have to scrub, it just came out. But the problem is... once the color got out the color made my hair icky and gross (and its usually SUPER silky), also the pink did not work very well.
I bought this for my daughter after reading reviews and assuming it would show well in her dark hair. However, the blue and pink do not. The yellow is great though. For light colored hair, these are great!!
The item was smaller than I thought. It did stay in the hair well and was easy to put in.
I'm sad to say, since normally we LOVE everything crayola, that these were a huge disappointment. They only have a tiny bit of each color inside, they broke off upon application as would a lipstick if you had to much of the stick rolled out, and the color barely shows up on BLONDE hair. Sadly, not recommended at all.
So first off my son has light brown hair and the colors didn't show up on his hair. Second it makes his hair feel super sticky and gross like he has candy in his hair or somthing. And 3rd my son got his blue one wet and set it on our counter in the bathroom it bled all over our brand new tile counter top and the stain will not come out! Inwill never buy this again it was horrible! What a waste of money now I'm probably going to have to spend 10x the amount I paid for this junk product to try get it out of the counter or replce the tile.
