This was a gift from my living husband yesterday for Christmas. I am in love... we started making memories last night as soon as he build it... looking forward to many fun filled nights with our family!
Bought in August of 2014 and have had countless fires in this pit. I have owned several different types of pits and this one has definitely been my favorite.
This is an attractive fire pit that is just the right size for our deck. The assembly instructions were vague but it went together pretty easily. We enjoyed a holiday gathering around the fire and are looking forward to using it again.
More space that most of the other options in this price range. It is holding up well after one summer of use. I do take extra care to keep it dry and I keep it inside during the winter. This probably helps with it holding up.
Surprised my husband with the copper rail fire pit for his birthday, s'mores by the fire a big hit! The copper rail is not hot, good around kids. We gave up a wood burning fireplace for a gas fireplace at our new home, missed the wood. This helps make up for it.
Our son grew up with fond memories of backyard fires. Our current firepit is almost as old as he is. He and his wife have a newborn son and they treated us to a new Copper Rail Firepit for Christmas to help us build memories for the next generation. It's beautiful, it holds plenty of wood, and it was easy to assemble. I would give it a 5 if it came with a weatherproof cover.
Great fire pit but would have been better if it had a grate to keep wood off of bottom as instructed.
There was no grill grate included and, because of it's odd sized diameter, I had to purchase one that is almost too small. Also, the risers or andirons in the bottom are not very large so I'm thinking the fires I build will not get properly drafted since the kindling will be basically lying almost flat on the base of the fire pit.
This is my 2nd one. I specifally bought it because I liked the design and size of it. Got about 3 years out of the 1st before it just rotted away and I bought this one in May 16 and by August it was pretty rusty. They expect you to empty it and store it away from the elements every use. When the manual mentions rust in 2 different spots...expect rust I guess. Next one I build myself out of stone that will last many years longer.
I have yet to use this item as there is absolutely no grill in the bottom. You can't just throw wood into the bottom and start a fire. It is also not overly sturdy. Very disappointed in the product.
