WOW, much more convenient that Propane, and takes up much less space that propane. They heat a little hotter than my old propane heaters, which is great, I have 3 setup and is like a spring day even when 33 degrees outside!!!
Giving 5 stars because overall good value for the relatively low price. Assembles relatively easily. It's designed to be permanently mounted in concrete or the ground, but we (like most users) prefer to have the flexibility of moving it -- and so we are making our own base (and tossing the cheap plastic base cover). The one critique is that the manual's operation instructions are not really clear, and there is no "off" marking on the unit itself. Uploaded is a picture of the off position, which might be helpful to some new users.
I got this for Christmas to give to my wife. I installed on our deck and it was a smooth easy process. I did have to run 25' of iron gas line and that is a job. The heater fires up easy and the igniter works great. If your looking for great heat up to about 7' feet away, this is it.
Easy to assemble and puts out the heat. The only headache I had was finding the fittings to hook up to my quick disconnect hose. Had to go to a gas hose store for help, but I did manage to find them. I was able to attach it to my wrought iron patio table with some washers/bolts/nuts after taking out one section. Got the idea from another review. Works great! The hose I routed along my fence and attached by zip ties.
Just put this together and used it last evening. We spent several comfortable hours on the deck while the temperature was in the low 50's. This stainless steel heater is much better quality than my old AZ one was. This is definitely a better value.

We live in Tucson, AZ and have chilly nights in December through February. I have two propane patio heaters but got tired of refilling the propane tanks every week when we use the heater nightly. I bought the Fire Sense Natural Gas Stainless Patio Heater #61445 online from Gas Outdoor patio Heaters in Chino, CA. It arrived in less than a week. I had to build a weighted wood and concrete base with wheels that took about an hour. I then put the patio heater together in another hour. I had to buy and connect a 12 foot quick connect 3/8 inch gas line. I already had a natural gas quick connect for my bar-b-que so I just swap the patio heater onto the quick connect when we want to use this heater. really works great.
This heater is a great addition to our new marble pool deck. Looking forward to using it in the fall to extend our outdoor pool use. We did paint the black plastic base to better work with the pavers. Not having to lug around propane tanks is a big plus for this heater!
I'm impressed with the build quality and performance of this item and expect to get many years of use. First, I'd like to see this product shipped with a gas line, but that's a relatively minor and inexpensive fix. My only product concern is that it doesn't come with a freestanding base. Living in a condo, I'm not allowed to drill holes in my patio for your preferred mounting method and even if I could, I'm not sure I'd want to risk compromising the integrity of the concrete over time. The alternative method of using stakes didn't feel secure to me, nor could I get the heater close enough to my patio table to be effective. I ended up repurposing a stone umbrella base that seems to work well enough. I looked for but couldn't find an alternative base. I'd really like to see a secure, moveable base offered as an upgrade.
I have a 10' by 16' screened in patio in central TX. It can get cold, not up north cold, but with the wind at 15 - 20 mph it's cold. This heater has been perfect in allowing me to still enjoy a cigar on my back patio at anytime this winter! I would have given 5 stars except it comes with a small base, with bolts and stakes included, so that you can secure it so that the wind can't overturn it. I want to be able to move it around my patio so I had to have a 16" square metal base made to bolt to the bottom of the heater for a base. Also the ignition went out the 2nd time I lit it but it is so simple to light with my long nose bbq lighter I don't mind.
