Propane heaters never keep you warm unless you are under the canopy and never light when needed. This infra red technology was something we felt was worth the money to try. We were totally amazed at how effective it is at great distance. We had a roaring fire in our patio fireplace that we had to sit directly in front of not to freeze. When we turned on the electric patio heater it warmed the entire 10x12 seating area allowing us to move back from the smokey fire. It warms like being in the sun so the cold breezes are just a momentary inconvenience. The only draw back is the amount of power required when other power items are on the same circuit. We were able to run the tv over the fireplace along with several patio lights with no problem but we will be running another circuit to our patio soon so that we can buy and install another unit on the opposite side of the patio for even greater coverage. The orange colored light is not a distraction when on the side and slightly behind the seating area and eliminates the need for other patio lighting. We would highly recommend this unit.
After using saucer top propane space heaters for years, the price point of this finally prompted us to buy. The excellent customer service reps helped get the units to us overnight, and at such a reasonable fee. I felt great about my purchase and continue to recommend our units more than 6 months later. They are sleek and out of the way. We added a power strip with switch to turn on and off without having to unplug each time.
Purchased 2 of these Infrared Heaters to go along the 1 I've had for over a Month and love the way they have made our out door patio into another room on the cold Days and Evenings
I actually bought this for my outside dog house. (Shed) I checked around and found this to have more wattage and cost a lot less than one for a dog kennel. The weather has warmed up so I have not had a chance to use it but I do know that at least next winter my babies will be a lot warmer. I will update my review at that time but I am excited to use this one. (I may have to get one to put out my our cook shed.)
I bought two of these heaters for Covid-19 testing / vaccine sites. I created pole mounting systems with pipe & drape fittings and weighted bases.
This is a perfect item to keep everyone warm on a cool night. Excellent heat source. Easy to install
I just installed this heater on my back deck. The brackets and hardware make it quick and easy. The only thing that went wrong was one pre-drilled screw hole stripped while installing. It's only September so we will see how well it puts out heat once it turns cold. I like the size and the fact you can simply plug-in and go.
Las Vegas has brutal winters...this heater solved the problem. Mounted it in patio above grill pointing to where is stand....the heat really does the job in keeping me warm
Just mounted this heater in our screened-in porch area. It came in three pieces: the main heater and two mounting pieces and it was fairly easy to erect. I liked how the heat came on immediately when it's plugged in but I don't like how there's no on/off switch. I'm guessing that's a safety feature but it's annoying to kneel under our table every time we want to power it on or off. Also, the heating radius is maybe about 5 feet. We should've gotten two of these to keep all guests in our porch warm and cozy. I won't be getting another one though. I'll try another brand.
I got this heater for my 10 X 16 shop. If the temp is below 50 degrees it’s almost worthless. I can’t see this in an outdoor situation. Just doesn’t put out enough heat.
