I am an instrument repair technician and have seen these First Act instruments up close. The metal is very thin and weak, leading to dents in the body, and easy bending and breakage of keys. They are not designed to last and do not make the best sound. Your child will likely be discouraged and give up playing if you buy one of these. You can usually find good quality used instruments at nearly the same low price and which will last for many years or decades.
