My 1 year old plays with these all the time. I bought them on clearance after Christmas and saved them for his 1st birthday. They are the toy he plays with most, and big brother (5 years old) plays with him. While he does have a bit of trouble snapping them together, he eventually gets it. They are durable and easy to wash, big fun pieces that don't get lost. He even helps put them back in the bag when we clean up. I do wish the base was bigger, almost a perfect toy.
My children just love the Pop Onz! We have many sets of them. Until they were over two, they did not have the strength or dexterity to actually POP them together. They are almost 3 and 5 now and play with them all the time. We gave a set to the neighbors who are 3 and 6 and they also love playing with them. It is creative and colorful. Children can make endless combinations of "art". I feel the age rating should be changed to 2 1/2 and over but other than that, I would recommend them, and have, to everyone!
They are cute and colorful. My 2 years old had a very hard time 'forcing' the pieces together. The green base pad is too small. Since I threw away the bag, I couldn't return it. So, I gave it away. I went back to and bought a set of mega block that was much more entertaining and easier for a kid to snap them together.
