I've found that this activity center keeps my little one's hands busy and engaged while I try to feed her. She enjoys the visual brightness and the stimulating activities. Very easy to clean with a disinfectant wipe. Also portable for meals on the go.
This kept our son occupied and happy when we would go out to eat. He has been playing with it for over 6 mos now and he is 1 yr old. We had many compliments on him when using this product.
This mat really does keep my daughter's (15 months old) attention while we all eat together at the table. I think the strength of the suction (to keep the mat in place) will differ depending on the table surface. I place it so that the left and right plastic toy parts hang off the edge of the table.
It is a great toy to take along to keep baby busy. The only complaint that I have is that it is bigger than what I expected. It is good to have when eating out because you do not have to keep picking toys up off the ground.
This is a neat product, but as stated above it doesn't stay put very well. I got it for my 2 year old to keep her seated when we go out to eat because she would never stay put. It does work for that matter but she easily removes it from the table. It is more of a toy then a meal time helper.
We use this when we go out to eat. As stated by other posters it doesn't stay put well, but my daughter loves it! I actually get to eat a meal without her trying to grab my food because she is to busy playing. A few more suction cups would have been great, but we still enjoy it.
My son loves the toys and colors on the mat and the concept is great however the suction cups that are supposed to hold the mat in place don't hold at all on a wooden table and only marginally better on a laminate table at most resturants. One slight tug and it is on the floor. Maybe once he gets older and shifts to playing with the toys more and pulling on the mat less it will work better. Fits easily into a diaper bag and gives a great surface to eat off of.
The product is a nice little product. But I really do not understand WHY the manufacturer ONLY put ONE suction cup on each plastic piece. It needs at least TWO and three would be better. As a result, my 13 month old can easily un-suction it. But it still at least keeps them entertained.
