I had previously used an older Fisher Price swing, and the motor had stopped working. I contacted Fisher Price and they did everything they could to make it right! I have never received such great customer service. This was actually the second swing they sent to me, because my original selection was damaged during shipping. And, in the end, I'm really happy they let me reselect to this swing rather than my first choice. I love the design of this swing, its very simple and my baby loves the mirror dome, rather than the light show in my previous swing. The music sounds very nice, the fabric is great quality, both the leaves and the raccoons move on the mobile (which is adorable), the start up noise is not loud like I expected it to be and the swing itself is very quite. I love, love, love this swing and so does our baby! Fisher Price went above and beyond for us, I couldn't be happier. They have earned my continued business for years to come, and as a long time customer, I'm happy to continue to buy fisher price products!
We received this swing as a baby shower gift from the grandparents and I'm so glad we did because I probably wouldn't have bought something so fancy. It has a lot to offer that you can't always find on other swings, at least not all together. It easily turns to swing in multiple positions; the different music and sound options are enjoyable; and there are six different speeds to choose from. My favorite feature is the ac adapter, but my baby's favorite feature is the moving mobile with mirror. She doesn't really nap in the swing, so the mobile is essential to keeping her entertained. This swing does take up a lot of space and I haven't tried to move it from room to room because of the size. It also is a little noisy, but I'm not sure how it compares to other swings. It is still a five star swing in my opinion and it is an attractive and useful addition to my daughter's nursery.
I'm not sure if I just received a bad model or what but about 2 months in, the mobile started sticking and would make a loud skipping noise, waking up my baby! It's fine as long as you don't put the mobile on...I would not recommend this swing! It also takes up quite a bit of space and if I had to do it over, I'd get something a little more compact!!!
Bought this for my infant son about a month ago and I wish it would work as good as it looks. The clicking goes noise of the motor is annoying, now that he's a bit bigger (3 months) i don't feel as safe with the only thing holding him in being the seat belt. The only thing that entertains him while he is awake is the mirror on top and that doesn't last for too long. The toys are extremely boring considering they don't do anything but hang down. Wish I would've kept the receipt and box to return. What a waste of $180 plus tax!!! And the seat isn't not very sturdy.
This swing was gifted to me by a family member less than a month ago. I am having a bit of a rough time financially so this was such a great surprise. We all, including the baby LOVED it from the moment we put her in. She seemed comfortable and would sleep, really sleep in it, which meant I could sleep. Less than 4 weeks into using it, it just...DIED. At first it was making some weird clicky noise and then it just all together just would not do ANYTHING. We keep it plugged in, its cheaper than buying batteries all the time. Mine might just be faulty because I have three different friends who all had babies around the same time as I did, and they have not had any problems yet. We all agree its beautiful, styling and functional, my baby is just not as cool as theirs anymore hehe. Regardless, I hope they take the reviews into consideration and look into the issue for future parents because I love their products and want to stay a customer.
I got this as a baby shower gift and my baby loved it. He loved looking at the mobile and when he got super tired, he would fall asleep in it and then we would move him to his bassinet. All great except that two months later, the motor died. We had it plugged in to the outlet so it is not a power supply issue. The motor made small creaking noises then slowed down even when in the highest setting and then a day later, it completely died and did not swing at all. The mobile and music still turned on so there is power. For how much this product costs, the fact that the motor died is really disappointing and makes me re-think if it's worth $159.99. I am not happy with my Sweet Surroundings Cradle n' Swing. Being one of the most expensive swings in the store, you would think it would be worth it. Mobile is attached to a string and does not move, bounce, dance or anything. The vibrating seat stopped working after about 10 days (which you have to use seperate batteries for) and when it did work, the vibrating sound was so loud. Just as my son finally gets rocked to sleep, the soothing sounds shut off. Had I not thrown out the box and lost the receipt for this swing, I would be returning it.
My baby loves to swing. I made an emergency run to the store when her used one died. When she gets over tired it is the only thing that comforts her. This swing is extremely quiet, until it isn't. The load motor clicks wake her up. I will probably disassemble and take back to the store as defective, even if I have to take a loss on the payment.
This was purchased before our baby was born (In December.) We started using it in late March and it stopped working in June. Its not that the swing mechanics stopped, it just doesn't turn on at all. It is also very bulky and hard to move around. The legs don't collapse in very well making it hard to move around.
I thought this swing would be a great purchase (looked nice and was pretty expensive). I put it together, but shortly after my baby started using it, the motor starting making a loud clicking sound. My husband looked online and this is a problem many consumers are having. Not only does it click, but the animals on the mobile don't do anything and she gets bored with it. Disappointed. Will return it.
