I got this swing in 2008 and have used it with my daughter and my cousins 2 kids. I had it stored in a closet and just pulled it out the other day because my cousin had her second baby. It still works like a charm and hope it continues to do so for my children's children. I really love this swing and hope it lasts to be an heirloom in my little family. We have this swing and thought it was cute and would not stand out too much due to toned down colors. Our twins love the mobile , music etc but the downfall is the motor is not very good . No matter what setting we put it on it goes super slow almost not at all. So although our babies will sit happy momentarily , we needed a swing that will do its job. I plan on notifying FP of our issue .
I was under the impression the mobile moved and the animals went up and down. Mine doesn't. Is this a feature it is supposed to have or was I wrong?
This swing had every feature we wanted. But within 2 weeks, the issues began. First the music started to fade and break up, sounding like a childrens horror movie. Then the mobil died, giving off extremely loud clicking sounds that scared my 7 week old son. And now to top it off the swing barely swings and its getting worse daily, we have it set to 5 which swings like it were at level 1...so disappointed overall, especially when my sons looking for the mobil to move and it doesn't, heartbreaking.
It has a magnificent appearance, but my mobile is "stuck" and won't spin. It just makes a grinding noise. The safety tray didn't come with it like it's supposed to. My 3 motion button won't even press in.
Gave this to my daughter as a gift, and the motor was fine for about a week then just went into permanent slow, if at all mode. Cannot even find how to locate a replacement, or if we should given the reviews of the replacement motors on here. The swing design itself is about perfect with the multi positions and the color design is harmonious to almost any home. Sad baby when it stops its motion, and I am dissapointed the motor is inferior when the design is so wonderful. It should have lasted for many babies.
I was happy with this swing while it lasted. Very disappointed because i love fisher price products.Motor did not last. I can't find a replacement motor. DISAPPOINTED,I also do childcare so its important that i have great products.
I have had fisher price send me 3 different motors for this swing all have stopped working after 2 months. hate this product
I got this swing to replace a battery operated one I previously had. I got the older model (sugarplum). At first, when the baby was born I was very pleased. The design of the swing and the music and different positions were great in comparison to swing I previously had. However, after a little time the motor kept getting weaker and weaker to the point where it would not rock the baby! I had to push the swing for it to swing from side to side. I am very disappointed because I really like all the features this swing has. I am thinking maybe I got a defective motor? Overall, I would not recommend this product because the motor, which is the main component, is very weak and will not last.
This was given to us as a baby shower gift. Baby arrived & went to use it & it won't swing. The motor doesnt work at all. Sad when you expect a well known company to have an excellent product & it turns out to be a dud!
