Detailed product description

With this Sea Turtle, kids can make stronger connections to their first reading words by seeing them, hearing them, spelling them, rhyming them and seeing a picture to help identify them! And like any good teacher, he makes it fun! Pushing the picture buttons on the Turtle's back rewards your child with spoken and spelled words and the back-lit LCD screen enhances the learning and play by letting kids see the words they are hearing through text and fun animations. Just move the Turtle's tail to choose any of the 3 modes Letters & Words, Rhyme Time, or Games and your preschooler's off to the races! (As fast as this turtle can take them, that is.) In Letters & Words mode, this Sea Turtle teaches the basic building blocks of literacy how to recognize letters in a word, how to spell the word and more!

"Touch any picture on my shell! CAT! C-A-T spells Cat!"In Rhyme Time mode, the Turtle shows that rhyming is not only fun, it helps kids learn about word families and can strengthen decoding skills. "Which word on my shell rhymes with tree? Bee! Yippee!"In Games mode, the Turtle encourages kids to get up and move because learning should be fun, too! "Show me how you move! Let's see you do a robot dance!" The 2 toggle fins allow for game play interaction. Worth every penny!!!

Wow, this interactive turtle is worth every penny it costs! Size is huge. I bought it for my son for New Year. It has LOTS of features: question-answer and other modes, electronic display, and more. The buttons are covered with a glossy glass-like plastic. The turtle's head and flippers are firm. Material: hard, solid unbreakable plastic.

Amazing toy!

We received this toy about 2 months ago and love it!!!! I had been searching high and low for an affordable tablet but wasn't ready to commit to the price and possibility of it being damaged by my two young kids. This came as a great alternative. I keep it put up and pull it out for special occasions. My only complaint is that I wished it had a volume control or a headphone plug. But still it's an amazing product. There are so many games that we haven't even found yet. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I received his toy for free. My 4 year old son loves playing with this toy. He enjoys the lights and sounds. He hasn't put it down since we got it. He has learned how to match words that rhyme. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

My 4 year old child was very interested in the Think & Learn Spell & Speak turtle. The shape of product makes it easy for my child to carry and take it everywhere. My child is learning how to spell and I found the images and words to be very helpful. He was particularly interested in learning letters and utilizing the animated screen. There is an on/off button. It would have been helpful to have a volume button to control the sounds. It can get pretty loud. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Unique Toy that has Words instead of Letters

Reviewed in the USA on 2016-08-21T17:00:00

This toy is unique in that unlike most toys in it's category it doesn't stress alphabet letters but focuses more on word recognition. It has a whole mode concentrated on learning rhyming words and a game mode that has a little bit of color recognition. This toy will also occasionally encourage your child to get up and move around: maybe by doing the robot dance or something like that. In the first and main mode when you press a word/picture button it will say "Jet starts with J" and so on. Occasionally it will ask the child to find the word that starts with "S" etc. Over all I wish it did a little more but it is still cool in it's uniqueness. Not what I expected

This toy did hold my child's interest for a small amount of time, however there is only so much you can do with it. I don't find it as versatile and as entertaining as some of the other toys we have for this age group. There is no add ons or additional things to make the games grow with the child. Overall I would give it a 3, it's not the worst toy but it wouldn't last long with my kids. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Got this for my son and he liked it but wasn't excited about it. He plays with it for about ten minutes and then will switch to sonething else. Its well made and simple but i guess it lacks a wow factor for my kid. He does like the fact that its shaped like a turtle. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
