Since receiving this to try, my son has been so entertained by this swing. He loves the different settings for the swing movement, the nature sounds and the music. The movable mobile is an added entertainment bonus. The chair is comfortably padded. The padding is easy to remove for cleaning. The control panel is sensitive to the touch for easy selection. The swing is very sturdy and will hold your baby until they reach weight limit or tries to get out. There is a plug in cord for power. Batteries can be put in the bottom for vibration. I got this swing for my colic grandchild and it worked miracles. The seat reclines and the control panel lights up and buttons are easy to read and see. I am absolutely in love with this baby swing. From the time I opened the box I loved how well it was packed (pic attached). All the bulky parts were nicely wrapped in styrofoam, no scratches or damage were found on any of the pieces. It didn't take too long to put it together as I thought it would, there was only two screws other then that all parts are click in together with the metal pop up pins, super easy and secure. The seat is absolutely my favorite, so soft and pretty, I also liked that it is easy to remove for washing. Seat reclines. The mobile has three plush toys and a mirror that catches baby's attention right away. The seat can swing from side to side and from head to toes which is very easy to switch from one mode to another. The swing is a little on the bulky side but that was expected as it's a full size baby swing and totally worth the space. It does folds up. I have always wanted a swing for my babies and I started with a competing brand. I never felt like my oldest loved that swing he more just tolerated it and I ended up getting rid of it. So when I got this Fisher Price swing for my baby I was excited to see what his reaction was. He’s currently 8 months and he loves it! The swinging motion is very fluid and not jerky and I like that I can choose to have him swing side to side or front to back. Most other baby products I’ve had have had obnoxious music that isnt very soothing. But the sound on this swing has lullabies that sound like real instruments. The lighted control switch has a very soft glow and is very easy to switch between settings. My only con would be that it takes up quite a bit of space but overall I am extremely happy with this swing. My older sons keep saying that they wish this swing came in a size big enough for them! I absolutely love this swing! I love how many ways it can soothe my daughter! It swings head to toe or cradle style, vibrates, and has six swing speeds to choose from! it has 16 music/nature sounds to choose from as well as a mirror and moving mobile to keep my daughter occupied. One thing I really prefer from this swing over the other one we had is that it has two different buttons for sound selection (one for nature sounds and one for music...our previous swing only had one button and you had to go through the whole list of sounds until you found the style you wanted). It also reclines for younger babies and sits higher for older babies. By far my favorite thing is that I can choose to use batteries or an a/c adapter though! It's so nice to be able to plug the swing in and not worry about batteries. There's no timer or automatic shut-off but we like that because it's powered by electricity and won't wake my daughter by shutting off (the vibration is powered by batteries though). The colors are perfect for a newborn or younger baby with the black and white patterns and simple shapes of the animals. The buttons are also really easy to use, large, and light up. They are touch sensors so you don't actually have to push in, which is nice. It looks very modern and simple with the colors and style of the swing and buttons. It's perfect for my daughter and my décor! There are a few things I’m not fond of with this swing but I can live with them. First off, the seat is really low (great in case baby falls out, not so great for sore new mothers trying to put baby in and take baby out of the swing). Our previous swing sat up higher but I do appreciate that Fisher Price is keeping safety in mind. Also, the motor has quite a loud hum. which wasn't an issue with our previous swing. It doesn’t seem to bother my little one but I find it annoying. A few pieces of advice to others putting this together: 1. The directions say that the leg pieces only fit one way. I found they both fit both ways. However, there are numbers (1 & 2) that you can line up on both bars to make sure you have assembled them correctly. I did one correctly without realizing it but had to switch the other one around when I realized the power cord clips were turned around too far from the cord. This wasn't a difficult fix but I wish I had noticed the numbers earlier or it had been in the instructions...just trying to save others some headache. 2. When you’re putting the seat cover on, start at the top, not the bottom. This swing was very easy overall to put together. I was able to assemble the entire swing in about a half hour. Swing This swing has everything a modern parent needs to care for their baby! First off, I love that it allows for babies up to 25 lbs, so there's a lot of room for growth. I use this with my 6-month-old, and she is a sensitive baby who likes to be held most of time. This allows me to have 10 or so minutes to do what I need before she's ready to be held again. It could be very nice to calm fussy or overstimulated babies. The lights on the on/off, volume, and sound/lullaby controls are just beautifully colored. I've never seen these sorts of soft neon lights before and was immediately drawn in when I saw them. Baby has a reflective surface on the mobile to look up at, if desired, which seems calming as it is not an actual mirror but more just a blurred dome. The mobile has some rectangular animals hanging down, and these gently move around in a circle as the swing moves. I would prefer more 3-dimensional animals, where these are almost 2-dimensional. There are two options for the swing to move: back-and-forth (like a playground swing) or side-to-side. The swing is very easy to turn to either method, and you could do so while Baby is in the swing. All you have to do is turn the swing basin! The swing itself is very sturdy and safe. Baby has a deep basin to sit in, with shoulder and waist straps to keep her secure. The animal design on the swing is adorable, as it looks like Baby is almost being held by a sweet little raccoon. It is very soft and snuggly. There is an option for the swing to be plugged into a wall adapter or used with batteries if you prefer that option. I believe the vibrating feature on the swing needs batteries to work, as I could not get it to operate and have not yet tried it with batteries. The base is very large, and I do wish the swing was a little smaller, as it takes up a lot of space in our home (which Baby shares with quite a few others). I bought this swing when my daughter was born last November. The swing worked perfectly for the first 5 months with only the slight issue of the touch screen being glitchy sometimes and I would just have to unplug it and re plug it in when it wasn't responding. My main issue with this swing is when I got my baby up from a snooze THE ENTIRE SWIVLE SEAT BROKE OFF. Talk about a heart attack! I definitely won't be putting my daughter back in this swing. She is a chubby baby for 5 months but she is not over the weight limit. I tried to see if maybe there was a way to snap it back on? Nope it's cracked, so I won't be trying to fix it as it's now a hazard to my baby. Such a shame, my baby loved this swing and it worked well for so many months. :(
DON'T WAST YOUR MONEY!!! I bought this 2 weeks ago for my two week old baby. She used it maybe an hour a day and two weeks later it doesn't swing at all all the lights and sounds work but it won't swing if you're going to spend this type of money get a swing that will actually last...
It keep breaking every week it would just stop swinging . We returned it , it was on sale this time should have know why… got another one and a week later same problem stopped working . Going to buy a different band now since i have a month old . Never again will i trust anything Motorized buy this company again
