It's a pencil sharpener so it just needs to sharpen pencils but this does so nicely. It's got two options, one for pencils and one for crayons. The top twists to keep shavings inside and empty easily. It's small so easy to carry with you. The clear case lets you see when it's full. It's sharp and does the job well.
This little sharpener is great. It is very sharp which makes it really easy to use. All the excess is contained in the container and easy to dispose of. It works great for eyeliner and eyebrow pencils too. I would think this is the best manual sharpener you can find.
This pencil sharpener is a great one for kids and adults alike. It's a convenient size to pop in a backpack or pencil case and it contains all the shavings so there is no need to stand over a trash can or collect the shavings off of a table when you're done. The sharpener is see through so you can see when it needs to be emptied. It sharpens well instead of mutilating pencils like a lot of other ones seem to do.
Self contained shavings. Circle twist style fits in pocket or any back pack. Easy to pull apart and discard shavings. Dual size will sharpen all types of round pencils and crayola crayons. Will not sharpen flat handyman commercial type. Safe for young kids since both stainless steel blades are away from fingers. Made in China. Designed in Wisconsin USA. Part# 195850. Full lifetime warranty!
The Fiskars Kids Deluxe Double Pencil Sharpener is perfect for my children. Its nice and big so it won't get lost and is easy to find Believe me my kids are great for losing pencil sharpeners and other small school supplies so this works out great for me. Its my sons favorite color he likes the see through blue design. Its nice and round and you can sharpen twice as many pencils in it than you can in a single sharpener. Its pretty sturdy too made out of hard tough plastic and it holds all the pencil/ crayon shavings inside so there is no mess on the floor . I love how it can not only sharpen pencils but also crayons too. Its so easy to use, simply twist the lid to expose the sharpening holes, insert the pencil or crayon and turn to sharpen. When you're done, spin the lid back around to cover the openings and trap the shavings inside. When you want to remove the shavings slowly twist and lift the lid until it releases. Very easy to do even for my children . I love how easy it is to use and empty. My kids love it too.
I got this Fiskars Circle Twist Sharpener for crayons and pencils in a very cute teal color. Of course it's the Fiskars brand just like my favorite scissors, so I figured I couldn't go wrong. With school aged children in the home you need a good pencil sharpener. I like the fact that it's translucent, so while sharpening your pencil or crayon you can see inside and you can know when it's time to empty it. The lid twists to expose the sharpening holes and then twist close to trap any shavings from coming out.
As a parent of several school aged children, I can tell you that we go through a lot of pencils and crayons. Locating a sharpener is a challenge (they tend to find their way into drawers they don't belong in or behind a desk, or under a couch), and finding one that sharpens cleanly is even harder. The Fiskars Circle Twist sharpener is an eye catching teal color, making it easy to find when little hands misplace it. It does a very clean, thorough job of sharpening both crayons and pencils. The circular shape is comfortable to hold, and easy to use. We especially like the clear design because it's easy to see how full the shavings compartment is, and obvious when it needs to be emptied. There's nothing we dislike about the Fiskars Circle Twist sharpener, we fully recommend it to anyone looking for a quality pencil and crayon sharpener.
This pencil sharpener works great. It has one side for regular size pencils, and another side for larger pencils or crayons. It sharpens well and twists apart easily to empty shavings into the trash. I would recommend this manual pencil sharpener. It works great.
This sharpener works very well, and I'm regretting not getting one (or more) sooner! My kids have more colored pencils than I know what to do with, and they were ALL dull. It was a terrible sight. This sharpener worked on all of the different pencil brands we have, and it didn't "eat" any of them. I included before and after photos. The catch basin allows for quite a bit of shavings before needing emptied- which is easy to see when it's time. To empty, it's easiest to twist the sharpener so that it's in the closed position, then gently pull the top half up from the bottom half.
I love having a sharpener that can be used with both pencils and crayons. This one is nice and sharp and does a good job carving the ends smoothly and efficiently, without the tips breaking off. When sharpening crayons, it also peels away the paper as it sharpens the crayon itself. My 5 year old grandson had no trouble using it by himself on a totally flat crayon (one where the whole tip had broken off) but it seemed like it might have been even easier if the sharpener was a barrel shape. To open it and empty out the shavings, you simply twist and lift the top off - but that only works when the two sections are aligned in one specific spot. At first I found this frustrating but then realized it was a plus point because that prevents a child from accidentally separating the pieces and spilling the shavings out all over. One caveat is to make sure a child is using it over a table when sharpening crayons because if my grandson tilted it during use, a few waxy shavings fell onto his lap as he twisted the crayon. Those needed to be carefully picked off so as not to get smeared and difficult to remove from his shorts. I recommend this sharpener, although the color is more blue than teal (if that matters).
