This mat is absolutely transparent (even more so than the picture), which is wonderful because it doesn't contrast with the hard wood flooring or break up the decor of our home office. The measurements are true to size.
Lays flat, protects hardwood floor from being scratched due to particles on the bottom of chair legs and rollers, no smell, and best of all, allows the beautiful wood floors to show. I'm a budget shopper and that includes getting quality products at the best price. I was able to get a minimal size to meet my needs due to the wide variety of sizes and shapes available in this product. Bought my first Floortex Cleartex Polycarbonate Ultimat chair mat in 2014 and have been delighted with it. No yellowing or color changes in the product after 2 years and it looks just like new.
No smell, lays flat. Looks great.

I purchased a Floortex Cleartex Polycarbonate Ultimat in 2014 after reading reviews for a mat to use on my hardwood floor. I did not want a mat that would actually stick to the floor and by placing it under the edge of the desk, there was no danger of the mat slipping an causing a fall. I have been completely satisfied so when I setup another room with desks, I searched for this product. Hayneedle offered the sizes that I needed at a good price. I recently received two new mats. I received them earlier than the promised delivery date. The larger mat came rolled and immediately went flat once I placed it on the floor and moved the edge under the desk. I am delighted with this product and with the service from Hayneedle.
Google search for a specific mat I had purchased in the past led me to this site. This mat matches the same model as one that's square (without a lip). I thought I was buying the lipless one but I should have looked at the picture closer. Happy so far with the mat as it is though.
Received package on time. Unit was shipped rolled up. I followed your video instructions to safely open package.All went well ,checked chairmatt opened up ok.Laid in place and checked rolling chair on unit. Feels nice and solid.I gave it a 4 because I dont know how long before it may crack. Very satisfied so far .Unit appears as advertised.
The polycarbonate composition is great-very hard and no holes for my wheeled chair to get stuck in. However, this mat would be much better if it were thicker. I will guess it is 1/32 inch thick or even less. It is surprising that it performs its function given its thinness. I would not purchase it again, but I will keep it.
I put the 47 x 35 this in my carpeted office and about once a week have to adjust it's position because it moves slightly each day. I finally put the two front corners under my desk to hold it in place and that lasts a few weeks til it needs adjusting again. Don't be cheap like me, by larger than you think you need for carpet!
I purchased the 48 x 79 inch Chair Mat in July 2019. It started cracking within 1 year. It eventually broke into sharp pieces and then debris gathered underneath the holes/cracks/missing pieces onto the carpet...defeating one of the purposes of the chair mat. I attached a picture of one of the cracked areas. Another reviewer had the same problem within a year. Beware...its not a long-term chair mat.
