This unit performs quietly and effectively. Setup was quick and easy. Our pool, patio and large porch area are now free of mosquitoes and other flying insects. Low maintenance. Great value for the price. Glad it is made in the USA.
Up and running for 3 weeks and for the past 2 weeks no mosquito activity, or moths, or June bugs, or any other flying insect. I bought this because several people including a local mayor have died because of West Nile Virus. THis thing is doing the job, if it breaks I will buy another one as it sucks them up like nothing I have ever seen.
This item was delivered as expected and was undamaged. All around our back yard the flying insects have been reduced to all most nothing. Our back yard includes a small fish pond and borders a wooded area.
I bought this as a cheaper alternative to propane-based models, mostly because I didn't want to hassle with propane tanks. The device was simple to assemble, and took me around 5 minutes to put together. I read through the documentation, and placed it at a recommended spot in my yard. I turned it on and let it run non-stop, 24/7. Two days later, the hopper was FULL. This thing caught a ton of bugs. The downside was it caught a bunch of moths and other bugs, but there were definitely a lot of mosquitoes in there, too. It remains to be scene if it will cause a noticeable drop in the mosquito population around my yard, but I'm happy to kill as many of those buggers as I can.
Had my doughts with all the mixed reviews, but this really works. It catches the night fliers and the day biters. Here in Dallas Texas our backyard was overrun with these pests and. Within the 1st week there were nearly 200 dead Mosquitos in the trap. Works so well I am buying this as a Christmas present for my neighbors I like.
This thing is catching a lot of bugs!
Product does an excellent job of catching mosquitoes. The wiring and connections of the power supply is flimsy. In less than two weeks of operation, I have had to repair one of the two Power Vacs I purchased. The sent packs work well but are very expensive. I am pleased with the performance. I just hope it will last.
have tried a couple of different locations, in my back yard so far no mosquitos, lots of flying bugs of every kind (but mosquitos) But the best part is that you will have every FIREANT in the neighborhood in this thing and it does not trap or kill them . So I did not have good luck with it but I still trying I have one more spot I can put it ,and not care about the fire ants. )
I was having fly problems and the fly bate doesn't work at all. It hasn't worked like i was hoping. I live in Murrieta Ca so I wouldn't recommend if you live here unless you have a ranch yard maybe it would work then.
it works good on mosquitoes, moths and the like. what I really want is to get rid of the no-seeums and biting flies as advertised. it's only been running for 3 days so the jury is still out. ask for another review in a week.
