The OE filter had a fiber pad attached to pre-filter. This replacement filter did not. I'm satisfied that this filter will as good as the original.
the right parts for a fraction of the dealer cost.
$4.00 Less than Auto Parts Store- Site to Store pickup very flexible
This is the same part, but less than half price at major auto part stores. ( same item at AdvanceAuto and Autozone)
Why pay more for an air filter. There are more expensive products on the market, but for the average automobile, those would not benefit the car owner any more than the Fram filter. The supposedly horsepower increase would be insignificant to the majority of auto owners and drivers. Keeping the filter changed often seems to be the key to a long life and economically operating engine, in my opinion and experience.
I was not able to get this filter on other websites for a better price than using the Walmart store pickup price for $6.99 + tax. This air filter fit fine in my 1991 Toyota Corolla.
The filter is great. The box and plastic were soaked in oil at some point. Disappointed that a filter that expensive would be damaged.
Exactly what I needed and couldn't find ANYWHERE IN TOWN for even twice the price. Very happy with Walmart on-line shopping!!!
Somehow I guess I ordered the wrong filter, I don't really know how I got the wrong filter. I used a chart, maybe I looked at the wrong number. Anyways, this is advertised on Walmart.com, but it's Walmart marketplace vendor, so it can't be returned to Walmart. I learned that when I tried to return. So, I went home and contacted the vendor. I was sent an address to return to. I had to repackage and pay return postage, then email the tracking number. It's been some time now and waiting to see a credit for this. I'm not saying it's not coming, I'm just saying it takes more time to check. So by the time I figure the aggravation, postage, and time loss, I would have been farther ahead to throw it away and take a small loss. No more Walmart Marketplace for me.
I purchased this air filter for a 2013 Ford Escape with the 2.0 and found that it was too long to fit in the stock air box. After doing some research online it appears that this is a problem with most aftermarket air filters for the Escapes. I eventually trimmed about 1/4 inch off the rubber sleeve to make it fit. Next time I'll try the Ford brand filter.
