After trying several different brands of Italian bread I have decided that this was the best one. Love it.
I see most of the complaints are about the packaging of this item and how the loaf delivered was crushed by heavier items. I solved this issue by ordering 3 loaves at a time... they come packaged together and don't get crushed. :-) We love this bread for all our sandwich needs. Great with cold cuts and holds up well when grilled. I've even done pretty terrific French toast with Freihofer's Italian bread just as long as I don't dunk it in my egg/cream/cinnamon mixture for too long; it will fall apart if it's overly wet. I highly recommend this bread.
they need to speak a little English i dont understand Spanish or any other i have trouble with them finding my trailer n they shouldn't be hard
Used to be super good, soft, and fresh after purchasing. The last 4 loaves I've bought have felt hard and stale upon opening. It's really disappointing and I was hoping it was just a fluke with the last two we bought. However, it's been two weeks and the next two are the same. If this continues, we will have to find another bread that doesn't feel and taste stale immediately after buying.

It was packaged with the fabric softener. It smells and tastes like the fabric softener and was smooshed
i used the pickup process and they didnt pick sourdough bread, they picked non-sourdough. this is a dietary issue, there is gluten in on and not the other. Come on!
