I love the trout! I go back and forth between salmon and trout. They are both always super fresh and delicious. The trout has a milder flavor and slightly less delicate texture.
Definitely some of the best fish I have. Oozed in some time. Appreciate the careful packaging and UPS notification of delivery. Taste was fresh and portions were generous.
My first time buying trout from you and it was fabulous. We found it meaty and flavorful. I poached it in white wine, mushrooms, and onions, and served it with a béchamel sauce. I topped the sauce with Jarlsburg cheese and put it in a hot oven for a few minutes, What a meal!!! (If I do say so myself, and I usually am bored with my own cooking. )
I‚'m new to Steelhead Trout. Haven‚'t had it before and I‚'m so glad I tried it. So much flavor! Trick is to cook it at medium, put a lid on it to keep moisture, take the lid off to make sure not to overcook, and take the fish off the pan while it is undercooked. It will maintain its heat and finish cooking itself. Nordic catch got me with its salmon, but I‚'m glad it has other choices to explore.
I try to serve this once a week -- whether I cook it on a cedar plank on the grill, or en papillote it is always exquisite. Mild flavor, soft texture, and unbeatable freshness.
I have never had Trout before and this fish is so tasty! I even like it better than my regular salmon. I highly recommend Nordic Catch. Their fish is truly the best available. Try it and you will not be disappointed. The quality is superior!
All fish from Nordic Catch is super fresh and top quality. The trout and salmon are my favorites because I just season with a little S&P and small drizzle of lemon olive oil and saut√© for 4-5 min. The fish is so fresh you really don‚'t need sauces or anything else with it.
Doesn't exactly pack a wealth of flavor and different than fresh water trout in color, texture, taste, but highly conducive to a fresh passion fruit pour over. Packaging keeps fish fresh for up to four days! It's just the right amount for sharing with another with vegetables and rice.
We received a long and thin filet (fish was folded and tucked behind). Taste was good but be aware that this fish cooks quickly and is far less forgiving than salmon if you leave it on the stove too long.
I simply broiled this fish and it was kind of flavorless. I really dislike your packaging as it is very hard to open. Fish had only a slight fishy odor. Would not buy again.
