I am so glad I bought this helmet for my son. It is very sturdy just like a regular motorcycle helmet. My husband and I priced it at other places and Walmart had it the cheapest. The only thing I was not real happy with was, I think they need to put a sizing chart online to figure out what size you need. I originally ordered my 4 year old a size small and ended up returning it for a size large. We found a sizing chart on another website.
We got this for my 4.5 year old stepson for Christmas, along with his Razor dirt bike. It fits great and he loves it.
We bought this for my son's go-kart and I dont know much about off road helmets. My brother, who travels for a Track Pro Safety Crew, said it was a good one for kids and for the money we couldnt beat it anywhere. My son is big for a 5 yr old but wore an xs batting helmet this past baseball season so we first went with a small and it wasnt large enough and had to move up to a medium. The padding is removable only for washing not for giving you extra room like a bike helmet does.
Helmet is well constructed and sturdy... Similar helmets cost around 160-200 dollars... This product is of excellent quality and with a very good price!!!
