I've tried all sorts of sleep aids and this is a really good one. Although a somewhat subtle effect, it's been a perfect supplement for me during pre-menopause 'wide wake at 2-am' syndrome and even better because it's not addictive and doesn't cause next-day drowsiness. I'll still wake up once in a while at 2-am when I take this supplement, but I am very relaxed and I fall back asleep very easily.I have two key, personal suggestions that will help you get the most from this product:1. Only use on an OCCASIONAL basis.Your body will grow accustom to herbs quite easily, so don't use this every night. I take it a couple times a week and use other sleep aids on other nights (melatonin, Advil, etc.) or go without.2. Take 3 TABLETS. The recommended dose is 2 tablets, but you will get a better effect and there's no harm in taking 3.Additional Comments:Gaia herbs are some of the very best on the market. It is important to take organic herbs, since they are concentrated, you don't want to get concentrations of the bad stuff (i.e., pesticides).
I have tried Gaia Herbs SleepThru capsules for some time now. I can say they work well.The ingredients are:Ashwagandha root (certified organic), Magnolia bark, Passionflower vine (certified organic), Jujube date seedThis is alcohol free extracts.It is 100 percent vegetarian, dairy free, no gluten and free of any heavy metal toxins. Thumbs up on all that!For me, it isn't that it puts me out light right after taking it, but that it keeps me asleep once I get to sleep. So say I get up at night and go to the bathroom, I go right back to sleep rather than drifting with thoughts before finally going back to sleep. So if you are looking for something to put you out, you might try something stronger, but if you just want something to help keep you sleeping once you are asleep for a long nights sleep, then this is a really good one to get. I like that I can trust the ingredients and they don't use medical drugs. I like the natural. I recommend this to anyone who wants to have a sound sleep through the night.
First off, if you want to feel sudden effects like a sleeping pill this product is not for you. So those reviewers that give a bad rating based on first time use completely missed the point of this product. Since it uses natural herbs and vitamins, this product is intended to build up in your system. Therefore, you won't start to feel the effects for at least a week. And you certainly won't ever crash out or feel drowsy. All it does is help you get a better quality of sleep. If you're willing to hang on for a week to let this work its magic, you won't be sorry. Sweet dreams!
I have had difficulty for years with sleeping through the night. I have tried many products, none work as well as Gaia “Sleep Thru” product.
I have no trouble falling asleep but I do have trouble staying asleep.This product is great for keeping me in deep sleep for 6 hours. and I wake up refreshed, not hung over.This is a really good price for 60 caps. Product was delivered quickly , packed well.

I have bought this elsewhere in the fall and the capsules in this bottle look different. Some were a little shriveled and discolored. The use by dates on the bottle are current.
After reading all the great reviews, I was excited about this product. Unfortunately, Sleep-thru made my hot flashes come back, so my nights were even more disrupted. I had to stop taking them.
