I've had the Forerunner 225s for 3 weeks and I love it! Heart rate, stress, sleep score, body battery and Garmin coach are some of my favorite features. I got this watch to motivate me to start running again and I'm back to running 5K‘s in the mornings. Garmin coach helped me keep my pace and plan what days are good for runs. Sometimes I take pics while I'm out and can post with my stats on social media. I also use it for strength training to keep track of my sets reps and weight. I like that it has GPS so I don't have to have my phone on me when I go hiking or running. It has notifications to see your calls and text messages but I turn them off because I don't like being bothered.( I'm not an Apple Watch gal) The watch face and the app are very customizable to see the features that are important to you. It also connects to my other health apps on my phone like my fitness pal so I can keep track of my calories and macros and syncs to the Garman app. The battery life last five or six days and it's a durable and stylish watch. My wrist is super tiny so this was the perfect size. Looking forward to training for marathons using my Garmin forerunner 255S.
I've had the watch for a month, and I'm very happy with it, because it adapts exactly to the physical activities I do, and since it syncs with the IPhone it's excellent!
I love all the features! I previously had the venue and upgraded to the 255 forerunner and after eight months it's never off my wrist. The flash light features definitely my favorite
Two weeks of use and I am enjoying the many added features and design improvements compared to my Forerunner 235. Many more display elements, data components, and biometric info. Great battery life. Slight learning curve on finding and using new things, but relatively intuitive. I like the new watch band and color options, too. Overall very happy with this watch.
Received the watch for Christmas 2023. I've been wearing Garmin running watches for quite some time now, having started with a Forerunner 225, then a Fenix 3HR and my last watch before this one was a 935. Definitely love the feature set and all of the capability of this watch. Decided with all that this one can do I didn't need to go back to a 900 series as I generally don't use all that it is capable of. I love the ability to see so many data points (HRV, sleep score, body battery, etc.) directly from the watch. I've also been using the suggested running plan which takes the thoughts out of what run I should do for the day. Also for those looking for a great watch face, I love Garmin's Home-Fit Thrill. So many colors to mix it up and just enough data points.
I bought the watch, replacing my 645 music and it's been money well spent. Nice surprise on my birthday.
I owned a TomTom fitness watch for several years and trained for several Tough Mudder competitions and ran I several Tough Mudder competitions wearing the watch 24 hours a day for several years. The TomTom finally died. I looked at several watches to hold up to my demands and worn 24 hours a day. I have been wearing the Forerunner 255 for about a month, battery life is great and it is featured packed. I am still learning about new features on the watch. A lot of great engineering went into this watch. It was a good purchase.
I got this for a Christmas gift and oh do I love it! This watch has SO MUCH data and the more you wear it the more data it produces. It takes a bit for the watch to get to know you (about a month) so you have to be patient for a bit. The workouts are great because you can program them! You can program a run or a HIIT workout which is probably one of the coolest features. I also think this is WAY more accurate than the Apple Watch I used to have. 10/10!
I bought this as an upgrade to my Garmin 235 and what a big difference. It gives me so much more useful information to help me be a better runner. I love all the new features! I can control my music, notifications, and phone calls. The various watch faces that can be accessed are great!
Since my 645 Music broke the case just playing with my godson, I needed a new fitness watch to replace it. In the Garmin line, what made the most sense was the 255 Music for perfectly replacing the functions of the old watch. I've had it for a week and I could see the 4 years of evolution from one to the other: bigger screen, with better resolution, GPS that locks almost immediately, sturdier buttons, more useful training statistics and the music function without crashes during sessions of training. Oh and a bigger battery too, for about the same price as before. One complaint: the screen could have better contrast indoors and larger fonts on the system.
