I have no complaints! I went to Garmin after having an Apple Watch for years and I love the accuracy and data tracking on this watch. I do CrossFit and have just started to pick up on running. I need to keep figuring out the best way to track my CrossFit workouts, but overall the watch is great. The sleep score and body battery is really interesting to me. I'm also an nurse, so the fact that it's waterproof helps a lot sometimes when things get a little messy (lol)

I've had this watch for several years now and I love it. It does everything I need it to. It's survived road 5ks and trail 100ks, lake jumps after hot runs as well as years of being my work watch. This thing has just enough bells and whistles without being distracting. I don't use the music portion as much as I thought, but it is nice if I want to ditch my phone.

I got this watch for Christmas and I love it! I had a Fitbit for years but decided I needed something more robust since I kept breaking that one. So far this one is durable, light, pretty and tracks both water and land activities. The app is great for me to check throughout the day to see my progress!

Perhaps a bit overly complicated (feel like I've only scratched the surface of the many functions), and a few small frustrations, such as being prompted to set up Garmin Pay, going through the process only to find that the bank won't recognize it anyway, but still enjoying the 745 very much. Solid product.

I have been using Garmin for my running/swim & biking for many years and haven't used any other. When my last watch the Forerunner 735 was getting old and as I was about to change to Coros, just called the Garmin customer service to see if they had any suggestions. I was told about the 745 and I sure did get one last month to see how it was any different. I really lived to its expectations with some fine features: extending the battery life, accuracy in heart rate, music storage, Garmin pay and so many other excellent options!!! I highly recommend this watch. Love it!

Having this watch for about a month now I've had a blast using it for running on the treadmill. And I know it would love for me to run outside, and to be fair when I have, the data it puts together for outside running is incredible aswell. I love all the stats, as someone who grew up playing runescape, watching the numbers increase every day is an amazing feeling. I think this watch is amazing if your primary sort of focus is running.

A Runner's Dream (with a Few Quirks)

As a data-obsessed runner always chasing new PRs, I've been eyeing the Garmin Forerunner 745 for months. Finally caved and snagged one, and after putting in some serious miles, here's my honest take: Pros: Stat central: This watch is a treasure trove of training data. From VO2 max and lactate threshold to recovery time and training load focus, it tells you everything you could ever want to know about your performance. And the best part? It all feels actionable. The watch suggests workouts based on your data, helping you train smarter, not harder. Multisport master: Running isn't my only game. The 745 flawlessly tracks everything from cycling and swimming to strength training and even yoga. The multisport mode seamlessly transitions between activities, making it perfect for brick workouts or triathlons. Music on the move: No more lugging your phone on runs. The 745 lets you store music directly on the watch and pair with headphones for cord-free listening. It's a game-changer for long training sessions. Battery life beast: This watch just won't quit. I get a solid week in smartwatch mode and up to 6 hours with GPS and music, which is more than enough for most runs. UltraTrac mode stretches that even further for ultramarathons or epic adventures. Lightweight champion: Forget clunky sports watches. The 745 is surprisingly light and comfortable, even on long runs. I barely notice it's there, which is exactly what you want in a running watch. Cons: No touch screen: In this age of smartphones, the lack of a touch screen feels a bit outdated. Buttons work fine, but navigating menus can be a tad clunky at times. Battery life blues (sometimes): While generally amazing, the battery life takes a hit with certain features like music and GPS. If you're a data fiend who tracks everything, be prepared for more frequent charging. Pricey plaything: Let's be honest, this watch isn't cheap. But for serious runners who want the best data and features, it's an investment that pays off in performance gains and training insights. Overall: The Garmin Forerunner 745 is a top-tier running watch with features galore. It's packed with data, versatile for all sports, and comfortable to wear. The lack of a touch screen and slightly finicky battery life are minor quibbles compared to the overall package. If you're a data-driven runner who wants to take your training to the next level, the 745 is definitely worth the splurge. Just be prepared to become addicted to your stats! Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars (would be 5 with greater battery life!) I hope this review helps you decide if the Garmin Forerunner 745 is the right running watch for you!

I've been using this watch after being a Fenix user and the first thing you notice is the weight, this is a very light watch but it means this is not a robust case and you got to be careful not to hit it as you may on some occasions bu accident. The battery is what I don't like as it only last 5-7 days if no activity is done, but if you use it more regularly, you will have to charge it very often 2-3 days, which is a pain sometimes for some of us that are super active. Overall, i like it but I will be going back to Fenix.

I bought the Garmin 745 a month ago and it's excellent at recommending training and tracking but the battery life compared to my old Fenix 5 is terrible. It seems every 2-3 runs it's dying. On my Fenix 5 it seemed like 1 to 1.5 months of battery life. I'll still train with it and do like some of the features but the battery life really let me down.
