More than I expected
I love this gas range. We love using the griddle but the coating has already started to delaminate and looks terrible. I had to buy a replacement already and it hasn't even been 6 months of use yet.
Nice looking stove! The only feature missing is a automatic oven light when you open the oven door. You have to tap the light button on the panel to turn the light on or off. The griddle is a added bonus. Adults with small children - the grates are not recessed so be cautious when small children are near the stove, they could easily get burned by the grates being they sit higher than the stoves with a recessed top that grate sits in.
I love this range! It has all the bells and whistles that I wanted plus a grill between the burners on top. It's very stylish and easy to keep clean. You can't go wrong with GE Appliances!!!
I love the center griddle burner. Can't wait to try cooking breakfast and being able to cook pancakes while I have my bacon and eggs going. I also like the broil tray instead of a warming drawer. I feel like I will get much more use from the broiler than the warming drawer.
Finally found the product I've been looking for with stainless steel knobs, this GE gas range is everything l've been looking for and more....the 5th burner griddle is an excellent feature. Very pleased with the construction and appearance of this beautiful range.
I love this stove!! Makes a Great Breakfast when having the range stop for cooking extra food. Rich looking and the stainless gives it style! Other features available check the manual.
This unit does not have all the bells and whistles of other things. It's basic and simple. The oven has bake and broil. No presets buttons for bread proofing or keeping warm. It's simple and clean. The oven will say preheat until it gets to the temp needed so you don't see the heat up temps. The oven takes a while to heat up. It's a cost saving method. You think oh cool, a broiler drawer but that's really just to save money. now you don't have a broiler in the the main oven to help preheat. It uses one bottom gas element to broil stuff in the drawer and heat the oven. Still all in all i like this over my Samsung which the enamel cracked from the heat of the oven and badge fell off because it was just a sticker. I would recommend this product.
While this stove/range operates perfectly, I am totally appalled at the poor design and lack of a trim piece at the bottom! We purchased this unit sight unseen from a local appliance dealer. None of the pictures from GE or elsewhere show that there is 1 1/2" space at the bottom surrounded by a shiny silver metal piece on a black stove. Being elderly, it is very difficult every morning getting the cat toys out from under the oven lying on our belly. Not to mention the fire danger of dust build up. Our dealer agreed and looked into it and we were told this is by design and I would have to make something myself to cover it up. I'm most disappointed and have learned my lesson the hard way of purchasing a GE product. I won't make that mistake again!
Stove arrived with a big flushed in dented corner. Did not accept it.
