I love this stove. The glass top and glass oven window is not a solid black color.. it has tiny white polka dots! It has a dedicated heat vent in one spot..very logical. The usual expected industrial smell of a new oven from the factory is surprisingly minimal. The oven light is the cook's choice.. it doesn't automatically turn on when opening the oven door but instead has it own push button on the control panel.
Very satisfied with my new appliances (Fridge and Cooktop) had GE before and it was still going after 14 years, so when it came to upgrade it was a no brainer that I went with GE again.
I like that front and rear burners are marked, also like the indicator light for a hot surface and that a burner is on. The whole burner surface area looks high end in my view. Enjoy the benefit of having 2 areas for melting! Good size handle to the oven and like that I can store some pans in the bottom drawer.
This range was delivered and was easy and simple to use. Essential features for everyday use. It gets hot fast, evenly heats on stove top and in oven. It's easy to clean, and that small drawer at bottom, fits ALOT of roasting pans and cookie sheets. I'm impressed.
Product Review: JB645DKBWW is a great free-standing range. Love the two dual-burners with "Power Boil"! They heat up FAST. The controls are intuitive, clean, and easy to read. Installation was simple and fast (with the right tools). Homowner Tip: This was my first time buying and installing a brand-new range. I would not recommend installing any brand-new range just before your wife wants to cook a large holiday meal because, because it is helpful to run the oven's self clean mode right away. This cleaning will properly eliminate any residues left from the manufacturing process, but we had to wait a few hours to finish, and we had to open some windows for fresh air. Live and learn.
This is not a high end range, so we didn't have high expectations for it. We purchased it for a vacation condo, but we do cook a lot, so it gets a lot of use. The burners run s bit hot, but pretty consistent. The real star is the oven - it heats up quickly and to the selected temp, and cooks evenly and consistently. All in all, pleased with this appliance
The burners stay hot for a long time after turned off. Warning for children & pet owners. The glass top does not stay nice for long even with proper cleaning solution. I bought a cover separately. Seems to be less quality than our old GE
Not better than standard coils: actually more difficult to clean, takes longer to heat up, heat doesn't stay consistent. It works to cook my family's food, but not well. It's better than the failing relic we replaced, but not what we wanted in a new appliance, and absolutely not worth the money we paid for it.
Won't hold temperature or reach the stated temperature in the panel. Not easy to clean the inside. Had to have the control panel replaced (this is a brand new oven) and it still doesn't have the ability to tell temperature. This thing is a piece of junk. Having said - it is consistent; our new home came with brand new GE appliances - all of which have had to be replaced or repaired repeatedly. Do yourself a favor, buy another brand. GE doesn't cut it any more.
2 months in and everything suddenly stopped working. Clock is on but nothing gets hot. Complicated electric issue. Resetting breaker did not fix the issue
