I ordered this camera for my soon to be eight year old daughter. She had been asking for a purple camera, and I thought this would be a great starter camera for her. Wasn't looking to spend a lot, and I have owned refurbished canons before and had great luck with them. Turns out GE is not a dependable company to buy a refurbished item from. My daughter opened the camera on the morning of her birthday excited to see that she got a purple camera... but that excitement didn't last! She pushed the power button and got an error message "lens obstruction, restart camera." The camera was clearly not in working condition... called GE and the best they could do was tell me to return it to either them or Walmart and they would send her a new one. Very disappointed!
