A very versatile oven that offers microwave and convection cooking while operating on a 120-volt circuit. Great features, of course, and it's perfect for cooking on/around the holidays when a double-oven is needed for preparing multiple dishes (since I don't have a double-oven). Only one minor inconvenience for me is the pull-down door. Since this unit was installed in the same space as my previous microwave that had the conventional swing-to-the-right/left style door, loading and unloading items is slightly more difficult with its pull-down door because of the mounting height of the oven. Not a fault of the oven. Just something to consider. The best remedy here would be to alter the mounting cabinet, if possible. No regrets!
I had to make the hole in the existing oven cabinet a little bigger, but the oven fit like a glove. I had to recess the power outlet a little because the oven is deep and the outlet can not be directly behind the oven. However, moving the outlet was not an option. A 90 degree plug would be better on this oven. The installation instructions are for the buzzards. There are too many products being covered by one document and it made it confusing and more difficult than it had to be. Love the knob! Push Cook Time, spin the knob till you get the time you want, then push the knob two more times - bzzap! It sounds odd but I really like it. The oven cooks quickly and evenly with the spinning tray thing. I have only dabbled in all of the features that it has. Love it so far.
Outstanding wall oven. We broke it in by cooking 2 pork shoulders/ Perniles. While baking a turkey in my new Profile Electric Front Control Range. Big house warming with family
I haven't been able to use many options yet but was thrilled with the easy installation. This was a replacement for us and fit perfectly in the cabinet. Also received fairly fast when you consider some people are waiting over 6 months for appliances. We had ours in 6 weeks.
Disclaimer: we've only had this microwave for a couple of weeks and we are still learning how to use it. Aesthetically speaking it's a beautiful appliance that enhances any kitchen remodeling. It's perfectly sized to complement a conventional oven. We have yet to use half the features that it offers, such as the steamer so we can only rate its microwave and convection features. On both these fields this model is a perfect 10 out of 10. Very efficient and quiet.
We moved. Wife just had to have again in no uncertain terms. We replaced a GE microwave with trim kit with this unit. Only had to enlarge opening by 3/4" in height with jig saw. Did myself. Wife just thrilled and now her friend is buying one. This double oven is truly versatile and a must in any kitchen. GE got it right!
Convection oven is smooth and doesn't heat the house as much as our previous advantium 240 oven . Much more quiet. The request function on this microwave is really really good too
I love the flexibility offered by this product. I am able to use the convection features to allow me to bake at one temp while using my wall oven to broil or bake at a different temperature. The microwave has many automatic features which are easy to use. My only concern is that is you are short it can be difficult to reach far into the oven .
Everything I expected an more! Fits perfectly, and was easy to install. I only gave it a 4 because since we started using it, we periodically get an F8 error message that the sensor is overheating when using the convection oven at 450 degrees. But I'm able to complete cooking. I've read the manual several times, so am unsure what we are doing wrong. At this stage, we are unsure if this is an inherent problem, or if we need to adjust the cookware we use
This is a good microwave that functionally works very well and has great options. The cons are bad enough that I would have purchased a different one though. The user interface is pretty bad. You have to push too many buttons just to accomplish your goal. For instance, if you want popcorn, you have to hit popcorn, start, and start again. Also the door makes it very hard for the young ones to get in it. I have mine installed at adult eye level above my oven. I have had this for about a year now and wish I upgraded to the Cafe.
