i love the way it takes photos easy to operate i would recommend this camera to anyone.
I use my camera everyday for work. Take pictures to back up my inspections. So far it responds to all the settings I need, inside small rooms, outside, in crawlspaces, up close. I am very happy with all the features, half I have not used yet. Great price and very sturdy. Thanks GE and Walmart.
Purchasing it online made it easy and shipped/picked it up at my local Walmart Store. I am completely satisfied with the camera. I was most surprised with the charging option using a regular phone charger. It has many options and am glad I purchased this camera at very good price.
Still learning about everything this camera can do. Pictures are sharp and clear. Body is easy to hold and the zoom is great for action shots like my boys hockey games.
It was a gift for my daughter 21st birthday and so far she loves it. And that makes me happy.
We bought the camera for our teenage daughter who was interested in photography. We thought it would be a good "starter" camera for her. While it does have a lot of features, she was disappointed in the picture quality - especially in less than ideal conditions (e.g., low light, etc). That said, the price is very reasonable.
I bought my g.e. camera 2 years ago for my birthday,well it works fine and takes decent pictures. My only issue is that my camera fell off my computer (1 1/2 feet off the ground) and the screen now has fuz on it,so buyer beware,if you buy this camera then make sure it's never near a ledge.
The GE X600 seems like a great camera and feels solid in the hand but the pictures are not that great. My old Canon A610 camera does better. But keep in mind I am looking for a better camera and if you are not picky then you may like. I tried to like the camera and finally gave up and returned.
Would you "refurbish" a camera then send it out without making sure you could not only take a picture but LOOK AT IT? Seriously.
The GE X600 I purchased was not refurbished; it was bran new but I was very disappointed . I paid about $145 (discounted) for it and found, although it takes good pictures, the battery won't stay charged for very long. I have to recharge it before I use it. I even bought another battery (from Hong Kong because the USA does not sell them) to use if the battery quit on me but found the battery won't stay charged even when not in use. If you do change the battery, you have to reset the time on the camera. There is not a separate battery for the internal clock. You will be throwing money away if you purchase this camera.
