I have bought these same socks in the past. They are nice quality for the price. Walmart always has them in stock at my local store. They wear well and prior sets I have bought have lasted as well or better than the more expensive options that I have purchased at other stores where I generally buy my suits. They are long enough and elastic enough to stay up and yet not too tight to cut off circulation. I highly recommend these socks.
I wear dress socks to work most days so I ordered the George Men's Argyle Dress Crew Socks. The set is actually 6 pairs of socks in three designs. The socks are really comfortable and hold up pretty well in all conditions. I take a 2 mile walk everyday during my half hour midday break and these socks stayed up and didn't slouch. They wash up nicely too! Very comfortable and attractive also. Great set of socks!
These socks are size 6-12. You get a total of six pairs. The different colors make it easy to accent the socks to what you are wearing. They simply have an amazing fit to them, and are really comfortable. They are so soft too. The material and workmanship just verify that they are durable, well made socks. I am very pleased with this product so far and I think you will be too.
I have size 10.5 (EU 43.5) feet, and the socks fit fine. Easy to pull on. The top stitching is not too tight, not too loose. I have big calves from exercise, so the tops creep down an inch or so but then stay up from there. It's not noticeable since the shaft doesn't bunch up. There's a reinforced toe seam to help prevent bunching. These are universal socks – you can wear them for dress, and they work for exercise too. They are mostly cotton, so your feet don't sweat excessively. The smooth texture helps to prevent blisters. As a test, I took two hikes with only these in my hiking boots, and they worked great since they're so soft. Surprisingly, they also work great in my Rollerblade inline skating boots. The soft texture means less friction. For going to work, they are stylish but conservative in appearance. Nice sharp designs, and all the stitching seems well done. They're so comfortable, it's like wearing no socks at all. I really like this broadly useful type of sock.
I really like these socks made by George. They are very comfortable inside the shoes. One of my biggest complaints about dress socks in general are when the manufacturers make them too thin. I walk for the majority of my day and will quickly rub holes in those socks. I do not see that being the case with these. These socks have kept my feet warm at work especially since I walk outside during the day as well. I am very pleased with these. The other thing I am pleased with is the design. I like designs on my socks, but some designs can go a little too far for me. These are simple, but attractive. I think these socks are very well made and will last quite a while.
One of my favorite forms of apparel are socks. There are so many types ...athletic...dress.. knitted...polyester... cotton... As a reviewer for the Sparks Program, I had the opportunity to try the "George's Men's Color Block Stripe Crew Socks." These socks are fantastic. They are made of a cotton and polyester blend which makes them easy to pull on and off. The comfort is unbelievable...like wearing no socks at all. The "George brand" are fashion socks which means they are very stylish and will go well with any outfit. The socks feature a comfort toe seam which will help to prevent "bunching" at the toe. They also feature a "stay -up top." These socks won't fall down on you. Care is easy. Simply machine wash with like colors. Use only chlorine bleach when needed. They are sold in packages of 3. A really great bargain.
I took all six pair of these George Men's Argyle Dress Crew Socks with me on my 5-day construction, inspection trip. Since I am required to wear steel-toed work boots on these sites these George Crew Socks fit nicely above my high-top boots. They were high enough too fold down, which I occasionally do when the weather gets much warmer, here, in Florida. They did not bind up or droop down at the elastic top as I climbed scaffolds, ladders, and stepped over various kinds of construction debris. They were cozy and snug. I really appreciated the re-enforced toe seams, which is an area that gets stressed a lot while wearing my steel-toed boots. About style - I was able to change into my casual shoes for lunch with the Project Manager and Architect as these socks fit and blended right in. WooHoo! Here is what I love about these George Argyle Crew Socks: ** COMFORT – This is the main reason why I buy socks in the first place. Because the sock is mostly, cotton (81%), a softer and gentle, natural fiber, the material of these socks are kind to my feet in both cold or warmer weather. ** COMPOSITION – I believe these socks are made for longevity and durability. Primarily made of 81% cotton for superb comfort, 11% Polyester and 6% Nylon for long-wearing, and 2% Spandex for elasticity. Living in Florida I want socks that allow my feet to breathe in warmer weather and are warm and comfy in colder months. These George Crew Socks have not disappointed. ** EASY CARE – I followed the manufacturer's instructions and washed these socks in cold water with like colors and dried on 'LOW'. They did not pill, fray, or shrink. YooHoo! The George Men's Argyle Dress Crew Socks, 6-Pack are a good choice for your crew sock needs, especially if you are looking for dress or casual wear crew socks that do not look like gym socks. It is good to see some nice crew socks that are in colors that look great with jeans, khakis, or other casual dress slacks. The stay-up tops are very nice and they do keep the sock from falling down around your ankles yet the tops are not so strong that they dig into your calves. The socks are thick enough to absorb some sweat yet not so thick that they can only be worn with sneakers. They look and feel good in casual shoes like loafers. Even after washing these are incredibly soft socks which I like a lot. I highly recommend these socks.
George Men's Color Block Stripe Crew Socks. This is a pack of six socks, I actually received two identical three packs of socks. Giving me identical socks, three designs. They are standard machine washable and tumble dry. Made in China product. They are considered fashion crew dress socks. The first thing I noticed is that they feel extreamily soft. I found them slightly thicker than my regular dress socks. I always wash my clothes before I wear them. After the first wash they still felt soft and did not shrink, and the colors did not fade. They do feel a little snug but comfortable. They fit great from heel to toe. They stay up at the calf without cutting into your skin. The socks hold their form with out over streaching as well. The designs of the socks are fine and I do not think anyone is looking at them anyways. My main concern is comfort and I have been happy with them so far.
First, I find these socks to be very comfortable and fit really well. I want to be clear on that. I just find the styling to be a little bit off. I really like the ones I'm wearing in the pictures but the others were not my favorites. One is just a pair of blue socks, which is dull. The other pair is bright pink, which I find a little extreme. Very nice socks if the styling suits you.
