I purchased this bamboo toilet seat about 6 months ago at a local Walmart store. It is of excellent quality and construction. I especially appreciate the chrome-finished hardware, with steel bolts. It looks classy, and I don't anticipate making an emergency run to the hardware store to buy replacement bolts. The plastic/nylon ones that usually come with the seats are always working loose and often break. The bathroom accessories installed in our home when we built it in 1972 lasted over 25 years. We replaced them when the paint began to flake and peel. The bolts were brass, we should have kept them and used them on the replacements! The various replacements have lasted no longer than 5 years, in part due to the bolt issues, and the cracking, peeling and staining.
Quality product would recommend to friends
Hey, It is well made and it does look good but I have to give a triple A rating to the fact that I no longer have to sit on that cold Porcelain that the toilet is made of and I no longer accidently get my rear wet when I sit sown and forget the bowl is too wide without a seat. Of course, this is a silly review but the seat is good and worth the price.
Very nice seat. Has a great blend of wood colors. Was a little tricky to install, because one of the screws came broken. But luckily I had another screw on hand. Very durable and glad it's made with metal hinges.
For being a hard seat, it sure is comfortable! Fits my butt just right! Beats those $3.77 jobs that are in the store!
THE TOILET SEAT ARRIVED QUICKLY.. VERY PRETTY BAMBOO GRAIN.. IT'S A LITE SHADE OF BAMBOO, BUT VERY NICE.. WHAT MORE CAN I POSSIBLY SAY FOR A TOILET SEAT??? :)
Great value, and we just love it. Had bought a padded seat a few weeks earlier, just got around to installing it, and never used it, as the opening was way too small. Guess you do get what you pay for, any way went on line, found what I was after, ordered, paid for it, and picked it up in a few hours. I feel I have a new way to shop, Thanks
I bought this to replace an old wooden toilet seat, that had broken (was probably 17+ years old) and the quality of this model is lacking. The thickness of the wooden seat and lid is scant compared to the older seat, especially for the price. I recommend going to a store before purchasing such an item, as pictures and dimensions can be deceiving. But it will do, for its purpose. :) It was easy to install.
It was easy to install. However the sides of the lid are easy to slide off and I need to find some super glue or something to help it stay attached to the base.
