This is a great buy. It has the automatic incline and automatic speed controls which makes it very nice to change during workout. It also comes with preset workouts that you can choose from. It is quiet and also folds up for storage very easily. I think this is a great buy and at a great price. Only complaint....no where to really stand a bottle of water while you workout.
Ive always wanted a treadmill and golds gym my first. It is a great sturdy product for the price and my husband didnt have any problem putting it together. When reading the reviews i was concerned with the safety key yet if you put it in correctly it too is sturdy. The only problem i had was that i didnt measure before hand and now when storing it doesnt fit in any of my closets, and now its an eye soar in my bedroom. So measure up.
Treadmill is sturdy and easy to fold for storage. I share the same complaint of the display being unlit but it's not a big deal overall. The programmed workouts are great and really get you moving. My husband was able to put it together himself in about 2 hours, requiring only minimal help from me. Great product!
This is my first piece of exercise equipment other than a stepbench. I love this treadmill! I go on it for 2 hours a day. It has really gotten me into the exercise craze. It does cause my lower back to bother me, so I just picked up the Gold's gym inversion table, hoping it will lengthen my spine and ease the pain. Also I have the Gold's gym puzzle mats which I love because I'm putting everything on a wood floor. Just so everyone knows, each package of the puzzle mats fit under one piece of exercise equipment. By the way, it doesn't have a backlight, which would have made it alot easier to read.
I purchased this product in early January 11'. I use it 3-5 times a week, sometimes every day. I'm 5'11" 225lbs and it has held up nicely. Putting it together was a breeze (I'm a male who IS mechanically inclined). I honestly stopped using the directions after I figured out what everything was. It took me about an hour and a half to assemble. I think anyone could put this together within a couple hours regardless of skill level or experience. VERY BASIC and simple to follow. The trial run was a bit sketchy as I thought I was going to break it. It seems to cushion your run, sway a bit as holds up to everything you give it. The 8 different workouts are great! I use one of three every time I run, my wife uses two different and my sister uses another two. It really seems to work for everyone and it has become a part of the family (as corny as it sounds). I paid the listed $377 plus I bought the extended warranty. I would recommend this to a friend as I did A LOT of research before buying. It seems to be the best in it's class considering anything better will run you close to double if not triple what this unit costs. I hope this helps you on your treadmill future, I know I research EVERYTHING and read many reviews before purchasing!!! I give it a 4 of 5. Good running people....
I was able to put this together myself in about 2hrs. with limited skills. To point out walmart will put it together for you if you ask but I chose not to. My wife did comment on how the tread mill doesnt fit her long stride but that will just take some gettin used to. Putting it together wasnt too bad some bolt holes were off by a hair and took some convincing to go in but went in none the less. Everything seems to work well all controls have worked. No back light is a definate bummer though.
Part #72 pulse assembly won't hold tight with the left #7 screw keep coming out. Went to Wal-mart to see how there handrails were put together. because our #3 bolts are not long enough to reach the threads underneath to attach the handrail bracket to the console assembly. We double check everything and did all according to direction. Fairly easy to put together toke our time putting it together so went together smoothly. Just upset about these parts not going together as should!!
I've been looking for a treadmill for a while. And when I read reviews on this one and found out that the shipment was only $1 I gladly got it cause we don't have a car to bring it from the store. Another good thing is that it folds up which is convenient for small apartments like mine. The first two weeks the mill was working great and my husband and I were using it every day until today when it suddenly stopped working. When you plug it nothing happens. The screen doesn't light up and the engine doesn't make any sounds. I am so frustrated because I cannot take it back to the store. Gladly the guy from the customer service is sending us some kinda electronic board or smth to fix it. Hope that will work. Bottom line: It's a great mill while it works.
I should have listened to all of the reviews about this unit not powering on after taking the time to assemble it. We had to lug this thing in and spent about 2 hours putting it together just to have it not work. First it would power on and never leave demo mode then it just wouldn't power on at all. Don't bother with this one, save up the money and get something nicer that will last. Will be returning the item as soon as I get the trailer.
Purchased this treadmill for my wife in December. The heart rate-calories monitor is junk. Heart rate reads large fluctuations within the same minute, reads heart rate slower as workout intensifies. Calorie counter reads like a pre-set workout calories burned. Not what calories are actually being burned. And the track speeds up and slows by .2 MPH, when the speed should be a steady set MPH. Spend some money and buy something other than CHEAP Golds Gym Equipment.
