I'm over 55. Barely could use my smartphone. But the ease of the nest set up, app and product was such an easy experience. The quality of the product, picture, and sounds are amazing. I think you've created a monster. I'm going out to buy more cameras to protect my home. With all that's going on in the in the world. This will make me feel at ease. Protecting my home and family with a peace of mind
I bought the Nest cam for my apartment because my ancient doggy had gone blind, and I wanted to check on her if I was out. She has since passed away and I continue to keep it up. I have had ceiling leaks in the past, and the camera allows me to check on my ceiling when I am traveling for business. the super wide lens covers my large living room, it was easy to set up also.
I started with a nest thermostat . Which led to buying indoor nest camera . Best to items I've owned. Nest offered a deal on Walmart website. Buy a nest product over $99. Get a free google mini home. My daughter loves talking to google asking knock knock jokes. Tells you temp and traffic and news. I'm so in love with all the products. I even bought power plugs for the lamps in their rooms.
Very good product and quality built. Gave me better than expected audio and video. Used it to monitor my inside of the home especially when we are away. Also used 2 way communication when needed to talk to my son while he was away in university. Will recommend this product and all other nest products. I own nest thermostat, CO and smoke detectors other than this indoor camera. Responsive App.
We bought this to set up in the nursery as we await the arrival of our new baby. Set up was super way and quality of both sound and video are outstanding. Really great item, makes a good baby monitor and we can use it later as a security system. Clear video and audio straight to your smartphone or device.
Excellent quality and value. The only minor issue is that only one person at a time can talk via speaker/mic. In other words while I am talking, I can't hear the person in front of the cam. Considering the price, it is a 5 star due to the quality video.
This is the third Nest camera that I have purchased and per the usual it is a good product. We purchased this indoor camera to replace our old Motorola baby monitor. The resolution, excellent night vision, and sound quality make this a worthy upgrade. The camera is very easy to install on an interior wall. It comes with the hardware needed to mount the camera pretty much anywhere. I mounted it to a wall in our son's bedroom and it was a breeze. Set-up was easy (even easier because we already routinely use the Nest app) and requires very little effort to get working. I find the Nest app very user friendly and always has worked when I needed it to. The only caveat is that sharing access to the app requires that you give full access to all account setting to anyone you share app level access with. I think this desperately needs to be fixed. (Allowing the owner account to give limited access to family level accounts). This is a very good product that I would strongly recommend for many different purposes. I work in the security field and have recommended these cameras to several people that have suffered a theft or criminal mischief.
My family and I really appreciate the ease of use that the Nest Indoor Cam gives us. Here's the review with minimal fluff: * The camera has great quality and has smooth transition between the normal and night-time mode * The Voice detection and voice response feature is super cool and easy to use (just one button to talk) * It requires almost no setup ( you have to open the box and plug it in)
The camera itself works very well. The $10 a month fee to keep 30 days of record is quite steep when you consider I can have a security company come in and wire my home and monitor it live for $15.75 a month.
Unless a monthly subscription is taken out, these cameras are not worth the price of the box they come in. They are absolute garbage. All the great features aren't available if you don't subscribe. If the camera detects motion, a notification is sent out but it doesn't record anything, it sends a picture.. The capture it takes misses the activity. Spend a little more and get something that does not require a monthly fee.
