Good rubber mat to put by pool slide stairs. Like the tapered edges and heavy enough to not blow away. Have not had any falls yet, but would cushion a fall to the concrete surface. Plus, a fair price compared to the others on the market.
The area under our swings has been a muddy mess for months. I looked around for mats and found most were very expensive, even up to $200! For a mat that goes on the ground, crazy. Purchased three from Walmart and they are perfect! Durable, heavier than I expected for this price point and have done their job great. My neighbors have purchased them as well. I highly recommend them.
We have only had this a couple of weeks to lay under a tube slide. We have experienced a couple of rains and it seems to be serving the purpose. It is a very heavy mat which will be nice during strong wind storms. I don't know what kind of stuff will grow or live under it over time but as long as it helps keep the shoes from mud, I'm good! Price isn't what I would call a bargain but I have been accused of pinching pennies! Overall review get's a thumbs up from me.
We needed pads because we bought a wooden playset for the backyard and decided to put it on grass. These pads are HEAVY and Durable . And we put 2 under the swings so you don't get a mud pit. And one on the end of the slide and one by the ladder. It's great !
We placed these under swings and at the end of the slide of our play set. They are very heavy, so it seems they are unlikely to move when little feet hit them, even at full speed. They blend in ok with grass, but most grass is not as green as that in the product picture on the website. Overall, good product, great price, and very convenient site-to-store delivery. Would recommend as the simplest solution to any person dealing with bare earth patches under swings and around slides.
The mats work well, definitely at the bottom of the slide. Probably going to buy another for the swing area so the swing and trapeze bar will have their own mats. The dimensions are exact and the mats are very heavy so they won't shift under foot. I think they will last for quite some time. The price was the lowest I could find online but I wouldn't expect anything else from Wal-Mart. The mats shipped to my home free of charge so that was nice as well. No complaints and as you see in the picture, they work well for soft landings for bottoms and dump trucks alike.
I purchased three mats to be placed beneath each swing of our playset where the grass had been worn and turned to dirt and of course mud when it rains. They arrived sooner than I expected using regular ground delivery to our home. If I recall correctly, it was less than a week from time of order to delivery. I did my research and these playset mats are by far the best value online. At $30 each they are far less expensive than other options where some cost upwards of $100 per mat. They are heavy (~30lbs) and stay in place. I cannot comment on the durability because they've only been in place for a couple of weeks, but they look like they will do the job. My only concern, and it is a very minor one, is that I would have liked for them to be a little longer, but it's not a big deal at all. They are great. And for the price you can't beat it. I highly recommend these mats.
I actually purchased these to soften the rain noise on a flat roof coming from my second floor parapet scupper. 'Had an opportunity to test it this past weekend and it worked great! It's heavy enough not to blow away, and looks like it will hold up to the AZ heat. Now the rain sounds like rain instead of a battle field. Very Pleased!
These mats are very heavy and will not slip, slide or move out of position on my brick paver patio. I purchased them to protect small children who may fall when getting in or out of swings I have hanging from my patio rafters. The mats are so heavy I could not carry both of them at the same time from the garage to the back yard. I had to open the box and carry them one at a time. I was looking for something heavy, thick and bouncy like a sponge. These mats are very similar to what you see installed on brand new commercial playground installations at public parks. I wanted much larger mats to protect a much larger area but the cost and shipping was prohibitive. This was the best alternative I could find. My two year old granddaughter did fall once when trying to get into the swing before I bought these mats. She swings twice daily and I feel she will be protected from any knee scraps or head injuries due to the thickness and shock absorbing aspect of these mats. My only complaint is the smell. After one week of outdoor use I can still smell the strong odor of asphalt, tar or rubber used in the product but I'm hoping with more time it will dissipate.
Note that if you are looking for interlocking and a seamless appearance this will not do that. The corners are rounded so you have little diamond openings if you are covering a large area. For the price, I found the same product at Home Depot for more and they weren't delivered to my door. Also note that I have only had my mats down for two weeks. I wouldn't expect much to happen in two weeks.
