Works well with the bongo drums I have. Like the idea I can use with my trap kit. Or I can adjust to use while seated using only bongos.
A good, solid stand for the price. Height and tilt adjustable for lots of playing options.
Sturdy, holds bongos firmly, sit or stand height adjustment. Very happy.
Good product......
Excellent piece of equipment, and was $20 cheaper than what I'm sure is the same thing elsewhere.. Shipped fast and efficiently.
This item is fine. The only thing I had to do was put a rubber "wedge" inbetween the middle wood support of bongos, inbeteen the wood
Well worth $$$
This stand is obviously lower-end construction and not a professional model, but is still a good value. The proportions are a bit imperfect, and the double-braced legs are heavier than really needed for the job. Some looseness in the leg rivets allows minor radial flexing, and they will probably loosen even more over time. The stand may not last if you are gigging regularly and moving it a lot, but it's fine for a stable at-home setup. It would be nice if it had three telescoping sections instead of two, which would allow it to collapse to shorter than 25", and if the center (top) tube didn't have to be pulled out to get down to that length. But... I bought a $20 bongo stand, and feel I got much more than that in value. No complaints.
This Bongo Stand was damaged in shipping it arrived without a top with just packing tape holding it in, it looked like it had taken quite a beating. When I took it out and put it together a little silver rivet also dropped out of the bag. At first I couldn't see where the rivet from, so I put the stand together and played the bongos, but as I played the stand's legs kept sliding out and then the stand would become squeaky and wobbly. Upon closer inspection I realized that the loose rivet i found had broken out from where the lower leg supports attach to the main tube. So because it broke off, this drum stand doesn't work. I would suggest that instead of using 1 semi-weak rivet for this connection that they use an adjustable T-screw like they use up above, or three rivets for more strength.
So, if you enjoy your stand collapsing and having to pick it up every 5 minutes because it keeps falling over on you during a set, this is the stand for you! How embarrassing! Yeah, I love to try and keep drumming with a set of bongos falling in my lap. . . in front of an audience. Not! What crap engineering. I just hope I can return it. Honestly, it's put together in the worst way fathomable. It doesn't adjust like it should. The tripod fails continuously. I hope the heck I can return this garbage and get a Gibraltar one like I already have. Went cheap. Mistake! Don't buy this scrap metal, because that's where it belongs. Wish I could give it 0 stars as that's what it deserves.
